| Blessed are they that are perfect in the way, Who walk in the law of Jehovah. | Bem-aventurados os que trilham com integridade o seu caminho, os que andam na lei do Senhor! |
| Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, That seek him with the whole heart. | Bem-aventurados os que guardam os seus testemunhos, que o buscam de todo o coração, |
| Yea, they do no unrighteousness; They walk in his ways. | que não praticam iniqüidade, mas andam nos caminhos dele! |
| Thou hast commanded [us] thy precepts, That we should observe them diligently. | Tu ordenaste os teus preceitos, para que fossem diligentemente observados. |
| Oh that my ways were established To observe thy statutes! | Oxalá sejam os meus caminhos dirigidos de maneira que eu observe os teus estatutos! |
| Then shall I not be put to shame, When I have respect unto all thy commandments. | Então não ficarei confundido, atentando para todos os teus mandamentos. |
| I will give thanks unto thee with uprightness of heart, When I learn thy righteous judgments. | Louvar-te-ei com retidão de coração, quando tiver aprendido as tuas retas ordenanças. |
| I will observe thy statutes: Oh forsake me not utterly. BETH. | Observarei os teus estatutos; não me desampares totalmente! |
| Wherewith shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed [thereto] according to thy word. | Como purificará o jovem o seu caminho? Observando-o de acordo com a tua palavra. |
| With my whole heart have I sought thee: Oh let me not wander from thy commandments. | De todo o meu coração tenho te buscado; não me deixes desviar dos teus mandamentos. |
| Thy word have I laid up in my heart, That I might not sin against thee. | Escondi a tua palavra no meu coração, para não pecar contra ti. |
| Blessed art thou, O Jehovah: Teach me thy statutes. | Bendito és tu, ó Senhor; ensina-me os teus estatutos. |
| With my lips have I declared All the ordinances of thy mouth. | Com os meus lábios declaro todas as ordenanças da tua boca. |
| I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, As much as in all riches. | Regozijo-me no caminho dos teus testemunhos, tanto como em todas as riquezas. |
| I will meditate on thy precepts, And have respect unto thy ways. | Em teus preceitos medito, e observo os teus caminhos. |
| I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word. GIMEL. | Deleitar-me-ei nos teus estatutos; não me esquecerei da tua palavra. |
| Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live; So will I observe thy word. | Faze bem ao teu servo, para que eu viva; assim observarei a tua palavra. |
| Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold Wondrous things out of thy law. | Desvenda os meus olhos, para que eu veja as maravilhas da tua lei. |
| I am a sojourner in the earth: Hide not thy commandments from me. | Sou peregrino na terra; não escondas de mim os teus mandamentos. |
| My soul breaketh for the longing That it hath unto thine ordinances at all times. | A minha alma se consome de anelos por tuas ordenanças em todo o tempo. |
| Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, That do wander from thy commandments. | Tu repreendeste os soberbos, os malditos, que se desviam dos teus mandamentos. |
| Take away from me reproach and contempt; For I have kept thy testimonies. | Tira de sobre mim o opróbrio e o desprezo, pois tenho guardado os teus testemunhos. |
| Princes also sat and talked against me; [But] thy servant did meditate on thy statutes. | Príncipes sentaram-se e falavam contra mim, mas o teu servo meditava nos teus estatutos. |
| Thy testimonies also are my delight [And] my counsellors. DALETH. | Os teus testemunhos são o meu prazer e os meus conselheiros. |
| My soul cleaveth unto the dust: Quicken thou me according to thy word. | A minha alma apega-se ao pó; vivifica-me segundo a tua palavra. |
| I declared my ways, and thou answeredst me: Teach me thy statutes. | Meus caminhos te descrevi, e tu me ouviste; ensina-me os teus estatutos. |
| Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: So shall I meditate on thy wondrous works. | Faze-me entender o caminho dos teus preceitos; assim meditarei nas tuas maravilhas. |
| My soul melteth for heaviness: Strengthen thou me according unto thy word. | A minha alma se consome de tristeza; fortalece-me segundo a tua palavra. |
| Remove from me the way of falsehood; And grant me thy law graciously. | Desvia de mim o caminho da falsidade, e ensina-me benignidade a tua lei. |
| I have chosen the way of faithfulness: Thine ordinances have I set [before me]. | Escolhi o caminho da fidelidade; diante de mim pus as tuas ordenanças. |
| I cleave unto thy testimonies: O Jehovah, put me not to shame. | Apego-me aos teus testemunhos, ó Senhor; não seja eu envergonhado. |
| I will run the way of thy commandments, When thou shalt enlarge my heart. HE. | Percorrerei o caminho dos teus mandamentos, quando dilatares o meu coração. |
| Teach me, O Jehovah, the way of thy statutes; And I shall keep it unto the end. | Ensina-me, ó Senhor, o caminho dos teus estatutos, e eu o guardarei até o fim. |
| Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; Yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart. | Dá-me entendimento, para que eu guarde a tua lei, e a observe de todo o meu coração. |
| Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; For therein do I delight. | Faze-me andar na vereda dos teus mandamentos, porque nela me comprazo. |
| Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, And not to covetousness. | Inclina o meu coração para os teus testemunhos, e não para a cobiça. |
| Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity, And quicken me in thy ways. | Desvia os meus olhos de contemplarem a vaidade, e vivifica-me no teu caminho. |
| Confirm unto thy servant thy word, Which [is in order] unto the fear of thee. | Confirma a tua promessa ao teu servo, que se inclina ao teu temor. |
| Turn away my reproach whereof I am afraid; For thine ordinances are good. | Desvia de mim o opróbrio que temo, pois as tuas ordenanças são boas. |
| Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: Quicken me in thy righteousness. VAV. | Eis que tenho anelado os teus preceitos; vivifica-me por tua justiça. |
| Let thy lovingkindnesses also come unto me, O Jehovah, Even thy salvation, according to thy word. | Venha também sobre mim a tua benignidade, ó Senhor, e a tua salvação, segundo a tua palavra. |
| So shall I have an answer for him that reproacheth me; For I trust in thy word. | Assim terei o que responder ao que me afronta, pois confio na tua palavra. |
| And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; For I have hoped in thine ordinances. | De minha boca não tires totalmente a palavra da verdade, pois tenho esperado nos teus juízos. |
| So shall I observe thy law continually For ever and ever. | Assim observarei de contínuo a tua lei, para sempre e eternamente; |
| And I shall walk at liberty; For I have sought thy precepts. | e andarei em liberdade, pois tenho buscado os teus preceitos. |
| I will also speak of thy testimonies before kings, And shall not be put to shame. | Falarei dos teus testemunhos perante os reis, e não me envergonharei. |
| And I will delight myself in thy commandments, Which I have loved. | Deleitar-me-ei em teus mandamentos, que eu amo. |
| I will lift up my hands also unto thy commandments, which I have loved; And I will meditate on thy statutes. ZAYIN. | Também levantarei as minhas mãos para os teus mandamentos, que amo, e meditarei nos teus estatutos. |
| Remember the word unto thy servant, Because thou hast made me to hope. | Lembra-te da palavra dada ao teu servo, na qual me fizeste esperar. |
| This is my comfort in my affliction; For thy word hath quickened me. | Isto é a minha consolação na minha angústia, que a tua promessa me vivifica. |
| The proud have had me greatly in derision: [Yet] have I not swerved from thy law. | Os soberbos zombaram grandemente de mim; contudo não me desviei da tua lei. |
| I have remembered thine ordinances of old, O Jehovah, And have comforted myself. | Lembro-me dos teus juízos antigos, ó Senhor, e assim me consolo. |
| Hot indignation hath taken hold upon me, Because of the wicked that forsake thy law. | Grande indignação apoderou-se de mim, por causa dos ímpios que abandonam a tua lei. |
| Thy statutes have been my songs In the house of my pilgrimage. | Os teus estatutos têm sido os meus cânticos na casa da minha peregrinação. |
| I have remembered thy name, O Jehovah, in the night, And have observed thy law. | De noite me lembrei do teu nome, ó Senhor, e observei a tua lei. |
| This I have had, Because I have kept thy precepts. HHETH. | Isto me sucedeu, porque tenho guardado os teus preceitos. |
| Jehovah is my portion: I have said that I would observe thy words. | O Senhor é o meu quinhão; prometo observar as tuas palavras. |
| I entreated thy favor with my whole heart: Be merciful unto me according to thy word. | De todo o meu coração imploro o teu favor; tem piedade de mim, segundo a tua palavra. |
| I thought on my ways, And turned my feet unto thy testimonies. | Quando considero os meus caminhos, volto os meus pés para os teus testemunhos. |
| I made haste, and delayed not, To observe thy commandments. | Apresso-me sem detença a observar os teus mandamentos. |
| The cords of the wicked have wrapped me round; [But] I have not forgotten thy law. | Enleiam-me os laços dos ímpios; mas eu não me esqueço da tua lei. |
| At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee Because of thy righteous ordinances. | Â meia-noite me levanto para dar-te graças, por causa dos teus retos juízos. |
| I am a companion of all them that fear thee, And of them that observe thy precepts. | Companheiro sou de todos os que te temem, e dos que guardam os teus preceitos. |
| The earth, O Jehovah, is full of thy lovingkindness: Teach me thy statutes. TETH. | A terra, ó Senhor, está cheia da tua benignidade; ensina-me os teus estatutos. |
| Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O Jehovah, according unto thy word. | Tens usado de bondade para com o teu servo, Senhor, segundo a tua palavra. |
| Teach me good judgment and knowledge; For I have believed in thy commandments. | Ensina-me bom juízo e ciência, pois creio nos teus mandamentos. |
| Before I was afflicted I went astray; But now I observe thy word. | Antes de ser afligido, eu me extraviava; mas agora guardo a tua palavra. |
| Thou art good, and doest good; Teach me thy statutes. | Tu és bom e fazes o bem; ensina-me os teus estatutos. |
| The proud have forged a lie against me: With my whole heart will I keep thy precepts. | Os soberbos forjam mentiras contra mim; mas eu de todo o coração guardo os teus preceitos. |
| Their heart is as fat as grease; But I delight in thy law. | Torna-se-lhes insensível o coração como a gordura; mas eu me deleito na tua lei. |
| It is good for me that I have been afflicted; That I may learn thy statutes. | Foi-me bom ter sido afligido, para que aprendesse os teus estatutos. |
| The law of thy mouth is better unto me Than thousands of gold and silver. YODH. | Melhor é para mim a lei da tua boca do que milhares de ouro e prata. |
| Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: Give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments. | As tuas mãos me fizeram e me formaram; dá-me entendimento para que aprenda os teus mandamentos. |
| They that fear thee shall see me and be glad, Because I have hoped in thy word. | Os que te temem me verão e se alegrarão, porque tenho esperado na tua palavra. |
| I know, O Jehovah, that thy judgments are righteous, And that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me. | Bem sei eu, ó Senhor, que os teus juízos são retos, e que em tua fidelidade me afligiste. |
| Let, I pray thee, thy lovingkindness be for my comfort, According to thy word unto thy servant. | Sirva, pois, a tua benignidade para me consolar, segundo a palavra que deste ao teu servo. |
| Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live; For thy law is my delight. | Venham sobre mim as tuas ternas misericórdias, para que eu viva, pois a tua lei é o meu deleite. |
| Let the proud be put to shame; For they have overthrown me wrongfully: [But] I will meditate on thy precepts. | Envergonhados sejam os soberbos, por me haverem subvertido sem causa; mas eu meditarei nos teus preceitos. |
| Let those that fear thee turn unto me; And they shall know thy testimonies. | Voltem-se para mim os que te temem, para que conheçam os teus testemunhos. |
| Let my heart be perfect in thy statutes, That I be not put to shame. KAPH. | Seja perfeito o meu coração nos teus estatutos, para que eu não seja envergonhado. |
| My soul fainteth for thy salvation; [But] I hope in thy word. | Desfalece a minha alma, aguardando a tua salvação; espero na tua palavra. |
| Mine eyes fail for thy word, While I say, When wilt thou comfort me? | Os meus olhos desfalecem, esperando por tua promessa, enquanto eu pergunto: Quando me consolarás tu? |
| For I am become like a wine-skin in the smoke; Yet do I not forget thy statutes. | Pois tornei-me como odre na fumaça, mas não me esqueci dos teus estatutos. |
| How many are the days of thy servant? When wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me? | Quantos serão os dias do teu servo? Até quando não julgarás aqueles que me perseguem? |
| The proud have digged pits for me, Who are not according to thy law. | Abriram covas para mim os soberbos, que não andam segundo a tua lei. |
| All thy commandments are faithful: They persecute me wrongfully; help thou me. | Todos os teus mandamentos são fiéis. Sou perseguido injustamente; ajuda-me! |
| They had almost consumed me upon earth; But I forsook not thy precepts. LAMEDH. | Quase que me consumiram sobre a terra, mas eu não deixei os teus preceitos. |
| Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; So shall I observe the testimony of thy mouth. | Vivifica-me segundo a tua benignidade, para que eu guarde os testemunhos da tua boca. |
| For ever, O Jehovah, Thy word is settled in heaven. | Para sempre, ó Senhor, a tua palavra está firmada nos céus. |
| Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: Thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. | A tua fidelidade estende-se de geração a geração; tu firmaste a terra, e firme permanece. |
| They abide this day according to thine ordinances; For all things are thy servants. | Conforme a tua ordenança, tudo se mantém até hoje, porque todas as coisas te obedecem. |
| Unless thy law had been my delight, I should then have perished in mine affliction. | Se a tua lei não fora o meu deleite, então eu teria perecido na minha angústia. |
| I will never forget thy precepts; For with them thou hast quickened me. | Nunca me esquecerei dos teus preceitos, pois por eles me tens vivificado. |
| I am thine, save me; For I have sought thy precepts. | Sou teu, salva-me; pois tenho buscado os teus preceitos. |
| The wicked have waited for me, to destroy me; [But] I will consider thy testimonies. MEM. | Os ímpios me espreitam para me destruírem, mas eu atento para os teus testemunhos. |
| I have seen an end of all perfection; [But] thy commandment is exceeding broad. | A toda perfeição vi limite, mas o teu mandamento é ilimitado. |
| Oh how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day. | Oh! quanto amo a tua lei! ela é a minha meditação o dia todo. |
| Thy commandments make me wiser than mine enemies; For they are ever with me. | O teu mandamento me faz mais sábio do que meus inimigos, pois está sempre comigo. |
| I have more understanding than all my teachers; For thy testimonies are my meditation. | Tenho mais entendimento do que todos os meus mestres, porque os teus testemunhos são a minha meditação. |
| I understand more than the aged, Because I have kept thy precepts. | Sou mais entendido do que os velhos, porque tenho guardado os teus preceitos. |
| I have refrained my feet from every evil way, That I might observe thy word. | Retenho os meus pés de todo caminho mau, a fim de observar a tua palavra. |
| I have not turned aside from thine ordinances; For thou hast taught me. | Não me aperto das tuas ordenanças, porque és tu quem me instrui. |
| How sweet are thy words unto my taste! [Yea, sweeter] than honey to my mouth! | Oh! quão doces são as tuas palavras ao meu paladar! mais doces do que o mel à minha boca. |
| Through thy precepts I get understanding: Therefore I hate every false way. NUN. | Pelos teus preceitos alcanço entendimento, pelo que aborreço toda vereda de falsidade. |
| Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And light unto my path. | Lâmpada para os meus pés é a tua palavra, e luz para o meu caminho. |
| I have sworn, and have confirmed it, That I will observe thy righteous ordinances. | Fiz juramento, e o confirmei, de guardar as tuas justas ordenanças. |
| I am afflicted very much: Quicken me, O Jehovah, according unto thy word. | Estou aflitíssimo; vivifica-me, ó Senhor, segundo a tua palavra. |
| Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill-offerings of my mouth, O Jehovah, And teach me thine ordinances. | Aceita, Senhor, eu te rogo, as oferendas voluntárias da minha boca, e ensina-me as tuas ordenanças. |
| My soul is continually in my hand; Yet do I not forget thy law. | Estou continuamente em perigo de vida; todavia não me esqueço da tua lei. |
| The wicked have laid a snare for me; Yet have I not gone astray from thy precepts. | Os ímpios me armaram laço, contudo não me desviei dos teus preceitos. |
| Thy testimonies have I taken as a heritage for ever; For they are the rejoicing of my heart. | Os teus testemunhos são a minha herança para sempre, pois são eles o gozo do meu coração. |
| I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes For ever, even unto the end. SAMEKH. | Inclino o meu coração a cumprir os teus estatutos, para sempre, até o fim. |
| I hate them that are of a double mind; But thy law do I love. | Aborreço a duplicidade, mas amo a tua lei. |
| Thou art my hiding-place and my shield: I hope in thy word. | Tu és o meu refúgio e o meu escudo; espero na tua palavra. |
| Depart from me, ye evil-doers, That I may keep the commandments of my God. | Apartai-vos de mim, malfeitores, para que eu guarde os mandamentos do meu Deus. |
| Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live; And let me not be ashamed of my hope. | Ampara-me conforme a tua palavra, para que eu viva; e não permitas que eu seja envergonhado na minha esperança. |
| Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe, And shall have respect unto thy statutes continually. | Sustenta-me, e serei salvo, e de contínuo terei respeito aos teus estatutos. |
| Thou hast set at nought all them that err from thy statutes; For their deceit is falsehood. | Desprezas todos os que se desviam dos teus estatutos, pois a astúcia deles é falsidade. |
| Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross: Therefore I love thy testimonies. | Deitas fora, como escória, todos os ímpios da terra; pelo que amo os teus testemunhos. |
| My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; And I am afraid of thy judgments. AYIN. | Arrepia-se-me a carne com temor de ti, e tenho medo dos teus juízos. |
| I have done justice and righteousness: Leave me not to mine oppressors. | Tenho praticado a retidão e a justiça; não me abandones aos meus opressores. |
| Be surety for thy servant for good: Let not the proud oppress me. | Fica por fiador do teu servo para o bem; não me oprimem os soberbos. |
| Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, And for thy righteous word. | Os meus olhos desfalecem à espera da tua salvação e da promessa da tua justiça. |
| Deal with thy servant according unto thy lovingkindness, And teach me thy statutes. | Trata com o teu servo segundo a tua benignidade, e ensina-me os teus estatutos. |
| I am thy servant; give me understanding, That I may know thy testimonies. | Sou teu servo; dá-me entendimento, para que eu conheça os teus testemunhos. |
| It is time for Jehovah to work; [For] they have made void thy law. | É tempo de agires, ó Senhor, pois eles violaram a tua lei. |
| Therefore I love thy commandments Above gold, yea, above fine gold. | Pelo que amo os teus mandamentos mais do que o ouro, sim, mais do que o ouro fino. |
| Therefore I esteem all [thy] precepts concerning all [things] to be right; [And] I hate every false way. PE. | Por isso dirijo os meus passos por todos os teus preceitos, e aborreço toda vereda de falsidade. |
| Thy testimonies are wonderful; Therefore doth my soul keep them. | Maravilhosos são os teus testemunhos, por isso a minha alma os guarda. |
| The opening of thy words giveth light; It giveth understanding unto the simple. | A exposição das tuas palavras dá luz; dá entendimento aos simples. |
| I opened wide my mouth, and panted; For I longed for thy commandments. | Abro a minha boca e arquejo, pois estou anelante pelos teus mandamentos. |
| Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me, As thou usest to do unto those that love thy name. | Volta-te para mim, e compadece-te de mim, conforme usas para com os que amam o teu nome. |
| Establish my footsteps in thy word; And let not any iniquity have dominion over me. | Firma os meus passos na tua palavra; e não se apodere de mim iniqüidade alguma. |
| Redeem me from the oppression of man: So will I observe thy precepts. | Resgata-me da opressão do homem; assim guardarei os teus preceitos. |
| Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; And teach me thy statutes. | Faze resplandecer o teu rosto sobre o teu servo, e ensina-me os teus estatutos. |
| Streams of water run down mine eyes, Because they observe not thy law. TSADHE. | Os meus olhos derramam rios de lágrimas, porque os homens não guardam a tua lei. |
| Righteous art thou, O Jehovah, And upright are thy judgments. | Justo és, ó Senhor, e retos são os teus juízos. |
| Thou hast commanded thy testimonies in righteousness And very faithfulness. | Ordenaste os teus testemunhos com retidão, e com toda a fidelidade. |
| My zeal hath consumed me, Because mine adversaries have forgotten thy words. | O meu zelo me consome, porque os meus inimigos se esquecem da tua palavra. |
| Thy word is very pure; Therefore thy servant loveth it. | A tua palavra é fiel a toda prova, por isso o teu servo a ama. |
| I am small and despised; [Yet] do I not forget thy precepts. | Pequeno sou e desprezado, mas não me esqueço dos teus preceitos. |
| Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And thy law is truth. | A tua justiça é justiça eterna, e a tua lei é a verdade. |
| Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me; [Yet] thy commandments are my delight. | Tribulação e angústia se apoderaram de mim; mas os teus mandamentos são o meu prazer. |
| Thy testimonies are righteous for ever: Give me understanding, and I shall live. QOPH. | Justos são os teus testemunhos para sempre; dá-me entendimento, para que eu viva. |
| I have called with my whole heart; answer me, O Jehovah: I will keep thy statutes. | Clamo de todo o meu coração; atende-me, Senhor! Eu guardarei os teus estatutos. |
| I have called unto thee; save me, And I shall observe thy testimonies. | A ti clamo; salva-me, para que guarde os teus testemunhos. |
| I anticipated the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy words. | Antecipo-me à alva da manhã e clamo; aguardo com esperança as tuas palavras. |
| Mine eyes anticipated the night-watches, That I might meditate on thy word. | Os meus olhos se antecipam às vigílias da noite, para que eu medite na tua palavra. |
| Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: Quicken me, O Jehovah, according to thine ordinances. | Ouve a minha voz, segundo a tua benignidade; vivifica-me, ó Senhor, segundo a tua justiça. |
| They draw nigh that follow after wickedness; They are far from thy law. | Aproximam-se os que me perseguem maliciosamente; andam afastados da tua lei. |
| Thou art nigh, O Jehovah; And all thy commandments are truth. | Tu estás perto, Senhor, e todos os teus mandamentos são verdade. |
| Of old have I known from thy testimonies, That thou hast founded them for ever. RESH. | Há muito sei eu dos teus testemunhos que os fundaste para sempre. |
| Consider mine affliction, and deliver me; For I do not forget thy law. | Olha para a minha aflição, e livra-me, pois não me esqueço da tua lei. |
| Plead thou my cause, and redeem me: Quicken me according to thy word. | Pleiteia a minha causa, e resgata-me; vivifica-me segundo a tua palavra. |
| Salvation is far from the wicked; For they seek not thy statutes. | A salvação está longe dos ímpios, pois não buscam os teus estatutos. |
| Great are thy tender mercies, O Jehovah: Quicken me according to thine ordinances. | Muitas são, Senhor, as tuas misericórdias; vivifica-me segundo os teus juízos. |
| Many are my persecutors and mine adversaries; [Yet] have I not swerved from thy testimonies. | Muitos são os meus perseguidores e os meus adversários, mas não me desvio dos teus testemunhos. |
| I beheld the treacherous, and was grieved, Because they observe not thy word. | Vi os pérfidos, e me afligi, porque não guardam a tua palavra. |
| Consider how I love thy precepts: Quicken me, O Jehovah, according to thy lovingkindness. | Considera como amo os teus preceitos; vivifica-me, Senhor, segundo a tua benignidade. |
