Isaiah 37:1 And it came to pass, when king Hezekiah heard it, that he rent his clothes, and covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of Jehovah.	Jesaja 37:1 Da aber der König Hiskia das hörte, zerriß er seine Kleider und hüllte einen Sack um sich und ging in das Haus des HERRN
Isaiah 37:2 And he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, unto Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.	Jesaja 37:2 und sandte Eljakim, den Hofmeister, und Sebna, den Schreiber, samt den Ältesten der Priester, mit Säcken umhüllt, zu dem Propheten Jesaja, dem Sohn des Amoz,
Isaiah 37:3 And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of contumely; for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.	Jesaja 37:3 daß sie zu ihm sprächen: So spricht Hiskia: Das ist ein Tag der Trübsal, des Scheltens und Lästerns, und es geht, gleich als wenn die Kinder bis an die Geburt gekommen sind und ist keine Kraft da, zu gebären.
Isaiah 37:4 It may be Jehovah thy God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to defy the living God, and will rebuke the words which Jehovah thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that is left.	Jesaja 37:4 Daß doch der HERR, dein Gott, hören wollte die Worte des Erzschenken, welchen sein Herr, der König von Assyrien, gesandt hat, zu lästern den lebendigen Gott und zu schelten mit solchen Worten, wie der HERR, dein Gott, gehört hat! Und du wollest ein Gebet erheben für die übrigen, die noch vorhanden sind.
Isaiah 37:5 So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah.	Jesaja 37:5 Und die Knechte des Königs Hiskia kamen zu Jesaja.
Isaiah 37:6 And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say to your master, Thus saith Jehovah, Be not afraid of the words that thou hast heard, wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.	Jesaja 37:6 Jesaja aber sprach: So saget eurem Herrn: Der HERR spricht also: Fürchte dich nicht vor den Worten, die du gehört hast, mit welchen mich die Knechte des Königs von Assyrien geschmäht haben.
Isaiah 37:7 Behold, I will put a spirit in him, and he shall hear tidings, and shall return unto his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.	Jesaja 37:7 Siehe, ich will ihm einen anderen Mut machen, und er soll etwas hören, daß er wieder heimziehe in sein Land; und will ihn durchs Schwert fällen in seinem Lande.
Isaiah 37:8 So Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah; for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.	Jesaja 37:8 Da aber der Erzschenke wiederkam, fand er den König von Assyrien streiten wider Libna; denn er hatte gehört, daß er gen Lachis gezogen war.
Isaiah 37:9 And he heard say concerning Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, He is come out to fight against thee. And when he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying,	Jesaja 37:9 Und es kam ein Gerücht von Thirhaka, der Mohren König, sagend: Er ist ausgezogen, wider dich zu streiten.
Isaiah 37:10 Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God in whom thou trustest deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.	Jesaja 37:10 Da er nun solches hörte, sandte er Boten zu Hiskia und ließ ihm sagen: Sagt Hiskia, dem König Juda's, also: Laß dich deinen Gott nicht betrügen, auf den du dich verläßt und sprichst: Jerusalem wird nicht in die Hand des Königs von Assyrien gegeben werden.
Isaiah 37:11 Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, by destroying them utterly: and shalt thou be delivered?	Jesaja 37:11 Siehe, du hast gehört, was die Könige von Assyrien getan haben allen Landen und sie verbannt; und du solltest errettet werden?
Isaiah 37:12 Have the gods of the nations delivered them, which my fathers have destroyed, Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden that were in Telassar?	Jesaja 37:12 Haben auch die Götter der Heiden die Lande errettet, welche meine Väter verderbt haben, als Gosan, Haran, Rezeph und die Kinder Edens zu Thelassar?
Isaiah 37:13 Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivvah?	Jesaja 37:13 Wo ist der König zu Hamath und der König zu Arpad und der König der Stadt Sepharvaim, Hena und Iwa?
Isaiah 37:14 And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it; and Hezekiah went up unto the house of Jehovah, and spread it before Jehovah.	Jesaja 37:14 Und da Hiskia den Brief von den Boten empfangen und gelesen hatte, ging er hinauf in das Haus des HERRN und breitete ihn aus vor dem HERRN.
Isaiah 37:15 And Hezekiah prayed unto Jehovah, saying,	Jesaja 37:15 Und Hiskia betete zum HERR und sprach:
Isaiah 37:16 O Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, that sittest [above] the cherubim, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.	Jesaja 37:16 HERR Zebaoth, du Gott Israels, der du allein über dem Cherubim sitzest, du bist allein Gott über alle Königreiche auf Erden, du hast Himmel und Erde gemacht.
Isaiah 37:17 Incline thine ear, O Jehovah, and hear; open thine eyes, O Jehovah, and see; and hear all the words of Sennacherib, who hath sent to defy the living God.	Jesaja 37:17 HERR neige deine Ohren und höre doch; HERR, tue deine Augen auf und siehe doch; höre doch alle die Worte Sanheribs, die er gesandt hat, zu schmähen den lebendigen Gott.
Isaiah 37:18 Of a truth, Jehovah, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the countries, and their land,	Jesaja 37:18 Wahr ist es, HERR, die Könige von Assyrien haben wüst gemacht alle Königreiche samt ihren Landen
Isaiah 37:19 and have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone; therefore they have destroyed them.	Jesaja 37:19 und haben ihre Götter ins Feuer geworfen; denn sie waren nicht Götter, sondern Werk von Menschenhänden, Holz und Stein. Die sind vertilgt.
Isaiah 37:20 Now therefore, O Jehovah our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art Jehovah, even thou only.	Jesaja 37:20 Nun aber, HERR, unser Gott, hilf uns von seiner Hand, auf daß alle Königreiche auf Erden erfahren, daß du der HERR seist allein.
Isaiah 37:21 Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent unto Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, Whereas thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria,	Jesaja 37:21 Das sandte Jesaja, der Sohn des Amoz, zu Hiskia und ließ ihm sagen: So spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Was du mich gebeten hast des Königs Sanherib halben von Assyrien,
Isaiah 37:22 this is the word which Jehovah hath spoken concerning him: The virgin daughter of Zion hath despised thee and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.	Jesaja 37:22 so ist es das, was der HERR von ihm redet: Die Jungfrau Tochter Zion verachtet dich und spottet dein, und die Tochter Jerusalem schüttelt das Haupt dir nach.
Isaiah 37:23 Whom hast thou defied and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice and lifted up thine eyes on high? [even] against the Holy One of Israel.	Jesaja 37:23 Wen hast du geschmäht und gelästert? Über wen hast du die Stimme erhoben? Du hebst deine Augen empor wider den Heiligen in Israel.
Isaiah 37:24 By thy servants hast thou defied the Lord, and hast said, With the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the innermost parts of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof, and the choice fir-trees thereof; and I will enter into its farthest height, the forest of its fruitful field;	Jesaja 37:24 Durch deine Knechte hast du den HERRN geschändet und sprichst: "Ich bin durch die Menge meiner Wagen heraufgezogen auf die Höhe der Berge, den innersten Libanon, und habe seine hohen Zedern abgehauen samt seinen auserwählten Tannen und bin bis zu seiner äußersten Höhe gekommen, an den Wald seines Baumgartens.
Isaiah 37:25 I have digged and drunk water, and with the sole of my feet will I dry up all the rivers of Egypt.	Jesaja 37:25 Ich habe gegraben und getrunken die Wasser und werde mit meinen Fußsohlen austrocknen alle Flüsse Ägyptens."
Isaiah 37:26 Hast thou not heard how I have done it long ago, and formed it of ancient times? now have I brought it to pass, that it should be thine to lay waste fortified cities into ruinous heaps.	Jesaja 37:26 Hast du aber nicht gehört, daß ich solches lange zuvor getan habe und von Anfang habe ich's bereitet? Jetzt aber habe ich's kommen lassen, daß feste Städte zerstört werden zu Steinhaufen
Isaiah 37:27 Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded; they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as a field [of grain] before it is grown up.	Jesaja 37:27 und ihre Einwohner schwach und zaghaft werden und mit Schanden bestehen und werden wie das Feldgras und wie das grüne Kraut, wie Gras auf den Dächern, welches verdorrt, ehe es denn reif wird.
Isaiah 37:28 But I know thy sitting down, and thy going out, and thy coming in, and thy raging against me.	Jesaja 37:28 Ich kenne aber deine Wohnung, deinen Auszug und Einzug und dein Toben wider mich.
Isaiah 37:29 Because of thy raging against me, and because thine arrogancy is come up into mine ears, therefore will I put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.	Jesaja 37:29 Weil du denn wider mich tobst und dein Stolz herauf vor meine Ohren gekommen ist, will ich dir einen Ring an die Nase legen und ein Gebiß in dein Maul und will dich des Weges wieder heimführen, den du gekommen bist.
Isaiah 37:30 And this shall be the sign unto thee: ye shall eat this year that which groweth of itself, and in the second year that which springeth of the same; and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof.	Jesaja 37:30 Das sei dir aber ein Zeichen: Iß dies Jahr, was von selber wächst; das andere Jahr, was noch aus den Wurzeln wächst; im dritten Jahr säet und erntet, pflanzt Weinberge und esset ihre Früchte.
Isaiah 37:31 And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward.	Jesaja 37:31 Denn die Erretteten vom Hause Juda und die übrigbleiben, werden noch wiederum unter sich wurzeln und über sich Frucht tragen.
Isaiah 37:32 For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and out of mount Zion they that shall escape. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this.	Jesaja 37:32 Denn von Jerusalem werden noch ausgehen, die übriggeblieben sind, und die Erretteten von Berge Zion. Solches wird tun der Eifer des HERRN Zebaoth.
Isaiah 37:33 Therefore thus saith Jehovah concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come unto this city, nor shoot an arrow there, neither shall he come before it with shield, nor cast up a mound against it.	Jesaja 37:33 Darum spricht der HERR also vom König von Assyrien: Er soll nicht kommen in diese Stadt und soll auch keinen Pfeil dahin schießen und mit keinem Schilde davor kommen und soll keinen Wall um sie schütten;
Isaiah 37:34 By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and he shall not come unto this city, saith Jehovah.	Jesaja 37:34 sondern des Weges, den er gekommen ist, soll er wieder heimkehren, daß er in diese Stadt nicht komme, spricht der HERR.
Isaiah 37:35 For I will defend this city to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.	Jesaja 37:35 Denn ich will diese Stadt schützen, daß ich ihr aushelfe um meinetwillen und um meines Dieners David willen.
Isaiah 37:36 And the angel of Jehovah went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand; and when men arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.	Jesaja 37:36 Da fuhr aus der Engel des HERRN und schlug im assyrischen Lager hundertfünfundachtzigtausend Mann. Und da sie sich des Morgens früh aufmachten, siehe, da lag's alles eitel tote Leichname.
Isaiah 37:37 So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.	Jesaja 37:37 Und der König von Assyrien, Sanherib, brach auf zog weg und kehrte wieder heim und blieb zu Ninive.
Isaiah 37:38 And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Ararat. And Esar-haddon his son reigned in his stead.	Jesaja 37:38 Und es begab sich auch, da er anbetete im Hause Nisrochs, seines Gottes, erschlugen ihn seine Söhne Adrammelech und Sarezer mit dem Schwert, und sie flohen ins Land Ararat. Und sein Sohn Asar-Haddon ward König an seiner Statt.
