Isaia 53:1 Chi ha creduto a quel che noi abbiamo annunziato? e a chi è stato rivelato il braccio dell’Eterno?	Isaiah 53:1 Who would have had faith in the word which has come to our ears, and to whom had the arm of the Lord been unveiled?
Isaia 53:2 Egli è venuto su dinanzi a lui come un rampollo, come una radice ch’esce da un arido suolo; non avea forma né bellezza da attirare i nostri sguardi, né apparenza, da farcelo desiderare.	Isaiah 53:2 For his growth was like that of a delicate plant before him, and like a root out of a dry place: he had no grace of form, to give us pleasure;
Isaia 53:3 Disprezzato e abbandonato dagli uomini, uomo di dolore, familiare con il patire, pari a colui dinanzi al quale ciascuno si nasconde la faccia, era spregiato, e noi non ne facemmo stima alcuna.	Isaiah 53:3 Men made sport of him, turning away from him; he was a man of sorrows, marked by disease; and like one from whom men's faces are turned away, he was looked down on, and we put no value on him.
Isaia 53:4 E, nondimeno, eran le nostre malattie ch’egli portava, erano i nostri dolori quelli di cui s’era caricato; e noi lo reputavamo colpito, battuto da Dio, ed umiliato!	Isaiah 53:4 But it was our pain he took, and our diseases were put on him: while to us he seemed as one diseased, on whom God's punishment had come.
Isaia 53:5 Ma egli è stato trafitto a motivo delle nostre trasgressioni, fiaccato a motivo delle nostre iniquità; il castigo, per cui abbiam pace, è stato su lui, e per le sue lividure noi abbiamo avuto guarigione.	Isaiah 53:5 But it was for our sins he was wounded, and for our evil doings he was crushed: he took the punishment by which we have peace, and by his wounds we are made well.
Isaia 53:6 Noi tutti eravamo erranti come pecore, ognuno di noi seguiva la sua propria via; e l’Eterno ha fatto cader su lui l’iniquità di noi tutti.	Isaiah 53:6 We all went wandering like sheep; going every one of us after his desire; and the Lord put on him the punishment of us all.
Isaia 53:7 Maltrattato, umiliò se stesso, e non aperse la bocca. Come l’agnello menato allo scannatoio, come la pecora muta dinanzi a chi la tosa, egli non aperse la bocca.	Isaiah 53:7 Men were cruel to him, but he was gentle and quiet; as a lamb taken to its death, and as a sheep before those who take her wool makes no sound, so he said not a word.
Isaia 53:8 Dall’oppressione e dal giudizio fu portato via; e fra quelli della sua generazione chi rifletté ch’egli era strappato dalla terra dei viventi e colpito a motivo delle trasgressioni del mio popolo?	Isaiah 53:8 They took away from him help and right, and who gave a thought to his fate? for he was cut off from the land of the living: he came to his death for the sin of my people.
Isaia 53:9 Gli avevano assegnata la sepoltura fra gli empi, ma nella sua morte, egli è stato col ricco, perché non aveva commesso violenze né v’era stata frode nella sua bocca.	Isaiah 53:9 And they put his body into the earth with sinners, and his last resting-place was with the evil-doers, though he had done no wrong, and no deceit was in his mouth.
Isaia 53:10 Ma piacque all’Eterno di fiaccarlo coi patimenti. Dopo aver dato la sua vita in sacrifizio per la colpa, egli vedrà una progenie, prolungherà i suoi giorni, e l’opera dell’Eterno prospererà nelle sue mani.	Isaiah 53:10 And the Lord was pleased ... see a seed, long life, ... will do well in his hand. ...
Isaia 53:11 Egli vedrà il frutto del tormento dell’anima sua, e ne sarà saziato; per la sua conoscenza, il mio servo, il giusto, renderà giusti i molti, e si caricherà egli stesso delle loro iniquità.	Isaiah 53:11 ... made clear his righteousness before men ... had taken their sins on himself.
Isaia 53:12 Perciò io gli darò la sua parte fra i grandi, ed egli dividerà il bottino coi potenti, perché ha dato se stesso alla morte, ed è stato annoverato fra i trasgressori, perch’egli ha portato i peccati di molti, e ha interceduto per i trasgressori.	Isaiah 53:12 For this cause he will have a heritage with the great, and he will have a part in the goods of war with the strong, because he gave up his life, and was numbered with the evil-doers; taking on himself the sins of the people, and making prayer for the wrongdoers.
