Filemone 1	Philemon 1
Filemone 1:1 Paolo, prigione di Cristo Gesù, e il fratello Timoteo, a Filemone, nostro diletto e compagno d’opera,	Philemon 1:1 Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our dear helper in the faith,
Filemone 1:2 e alla sorella Apfia, e ad Archippo, nostro compagno d’armi, alla chiesa che è in casa tua,	Philemon 1:2 And to Apphia, our sister, and to Archippus, our brother in God's army, and to the church in your house:
Filemone 1:3 grazia a voi e pace da Dio nostro Padre e dal Signor Gesù Cristo.	Philemon 1:3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Filemone 1:4 Io rendo sempre grazie all’Iddio mio, facendo menzione di te nelle mie preghiere,	Philemon 1:4 I give praise to God at all times and make prayer for you,
Filemone 1:5 giacché odo parlare dell’amore e della fede che hai nel Signor Gesù e verso tutti i santi,	Philemon 1:5 Hearing of the love and the faith which you have to the Lord Jesus and to all the saints;
Filemone 1:6 e domando che la nostra comunione di fede sia efficace nel farti riconoscere ogni bene che si compia in noi alla gloria di Cristo.	Philemon 1:6 That the faith which you have in common with them may be working with power, in the knowledge of every good thing in you, for Christ.
Filemone 1:7 Poiché ho provato una grande allegrezza e consolazione pel tuo amore, perché il cuore dei santi è stato ricreato per mezzo tuo, o fratello.	Philemon 1:7 For I had great joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been made strong again through you, brother.
Filemone 1:8 Perciò, benché io abbia molta libertà in Cristo di comandarti quel che convien fare,	Philemon 1:8 And so, though I might, in the name of Christ, give you orders to do what is right,
Filemone 1:9 preferisco fare appello alla tua carità, semplicemente come Paolo, vecchio, e adesso anche prigione di Cristo Gesù;	Philemon 1:9 Still, because of love, in place of an order, I make a request to you, I, Paul, an old man and now a prisoner of Christ Jesus:
Filemone 1:10 ti prego per il mio figliuolo che ho generato nelle mie catene,	Philemon 1:10 My request is for my child Onesimus, the child of my chains,
Filemone 1:11 per Onesimo che altra volta ti fu disutile, ma che ora è utile a te ed a me.	Philemon 1:11 Who in the past was of no profit to you, but now is of profit to you and to me:
Filemone 1:12 Io te l’ho rimandato, lui, ch’è quanto dire, le viscere mie.	Philemon 1:12 Whom I have sent back to you, him who is my very heart:
Filemone 1:13 Avrei voluto tenerlo presso di me, affinché in vece tua mi servisse nelle catene che porto a motivo del Vangelo;	Philemon 1:13 Though my desire was to keep him with me, to be my servant in the chains of the good news, in your place:
Filemone 1:14 ma, senza il tuo parere, non ho voluto far nulla, affinché il tuo beneficio non fosse come forzato, ma volontario.	Philemon 1:14 But without your approval I would do nothing; so that your good works might not be forced, but done freely from your heart.
Filemone 1:15 Infatti, per questo, forse, egli è stato per breve tempo separato da te, perché tu lo recuperassi per sempre;	Philemon 1:15 For it is possible that for this reason he was parted from you for a time, so that you might have him for ever;
Filemone 1:16 non più come uno schiavo, ma come da più di uno schiavo, come un fratello caro specialmente a me, ma ora quanto più a te, e nella carne e nel Signore!	Philemon 1:16 No longer as a servant, but more than a servant, a brother, very dear to me specially, but much more to you, in the flesh as well as in the Lord.
Filemone 1:17 Se dunque tu mi tieni per un consocio, ricevilo come faresti di me.	Philemon 1:17 If then you take me to be your friend and brother, take him in as myself.
Filemone 1:18 che se t’ha fatto alcun torto o ti deve qualcosa, addebitalo a me.	Philemon 1:18 If he has done you any wrong or is in debt to you for anything, put it to my account.
Filemone 1:19 Io, Paolo, lo scrivo di mio proprio pugno: io lo pagherò; per non dirti che tu mi sei debitore perfino di te stesso.	Philemon 1:19 I, Paul, writing this myself, say, I will make payment to you: and I do not say to you that you are in debt to me even for your life.
Filemone 1:20 Sì, fratello, io vorrei da te un qualche utile nel Signore; deh, ricrea il mio cuore in Cristo.	Philemon 1:20 So brother, let me have joy of you in the Lord: give new life to my heart in Christ.
Filemone 1:21 Ti scrivo confidando nella tua ubbidienza, sapendo che tu farai anche al di là di quel che dico.	Philemon 1:21 Being certain that you will do my desire, I am writing to you, in the knowledge that you will do even more than I say.
Filemone 1:22 Preparami al tempo stesso un alloggio, perché spero che, per le vostre preghiere, io vi sarò donato.	Philemon 1:22 And make a room ready for me; for I am hoping that through your prayers I will be given to you.
Filemone 1:23 Epafra, mio compagno di prigione in Cristo Gesù, ti saluta.	Philemon 1:23 Epaphras, my brother-prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends you his love;
Filemone 1:24 Così fanno Marco, Aristarco, Dema, Luca, miei compagni d’opera.	Philemon 1:24 And so do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my brother-workers.
Filemone 1:25 La grazia del Signor Gesù Cristo sia con lo spirito vostro.	Philemon 1:25 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. So be it.
