Giovanni 8	John 8
Giovanni 8:1 Gesù andò al monte degli Ulivi.	John 8:1 but Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
Giovanni 8:2 E sul far del giorno, tornò nel tempio, e tutto il popolo venne a lui; ed egli, postosi a sedere, li ammaestrava.	John 8:2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
Giovanni 8:3 Allora gli scribi e i Farisei gli menarono una donna còlta in adulterio; e fattala stare in mezzo,	John 8:3 And the scribes and the Pharisees bring a woman taken in adultery; and having set her in the midst,
Giovanni 8:4 gli dissero: Maestro, questa donna è stata còlta in flagrante adulterio.	John 8:4 they say unto him, Teacher, this woman hath been taken in adultery, in the very act.
Giovanni 8:5 Or Mosè, nella legge, ci ha comandato di lapidare queste tali; e tu che ne dici?	John 8:5 Now in the law Moses commanded us to stone such: what then sayest thou of her?
Giovanni 8:6 Or dicean questo per metterlo alla prova, per poterlo accusare. Ma Gesù, chinatosi, si mise a scrivere col dito in terra.	John 8:6 And this they said, trying him, that they might have [whereof] to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.
Giovanni 8:7 E siccome continuavano a interrogarlo, egli, rizzatosi, disse loro: Chi di voi è senza peccato, scagli il primo la pietra contro di lei.	John 8:7 But when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
Giovanni 8:8 E chinatosi di nuovo, scriveva in terra.	John 8:8 And again he stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.
Giovanni 8:9 Ed essi, udito ciò, e ripresi dalla loro coscienza, si misero ad uscire ad uno ad uno, cominciando dai più vecchi fino agli ultimi; e Gesù fu lasciato solo con la donna che stava là in mezzo.	John 8:9 And they, when they heard it, went out one by one, beginning from the eldest, [even] unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman, where she was, in the midst.
Giovanni 8:10 E Gesù, rizzatosi e non vedendo altri che la donna, le disse: Donna, dove sono que’ tuoi accusatori? Nessuno t’ha condannata?	John 8:10 And Jesus lifted up himself, and said unto her, Woman, where are they? did no man condemn thee?
Giovanni 8:11 Ed ella rispose: Nessuno, Signore. E Gesù le disse: Neppure io ti condanno; va’ e non peccar più.	John 8:11 And she said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said, Neither do I condemn thee: go thy way; from henceforth sin no more.
Giovanni 8:12 Or Gesù parlò loro di nuovo, dicendo: Io son la luce del mondo; chi mi seguita non camminerà nelle tenebre, ma avrà la luce della vita.	John 8:12 Again therefore Jesus spake unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Giovanni 8:13 Allora i Farisei gli dissero: Tu testimoni di te stesso; la tua testimonianza non è verace.	John 8:13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest witness of thyself; thy witness is not true.
Giovanni 8:14 Gesù rispose e disse loro: Quand’anche io testimoni di me stesso, la mia testimonianza è verace, perché so donde son venuto e donde vado; ma voi non sapete donde io vengo né dove vado.	John 8:14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Even if I bear witness of myself, my witness is true; for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye know not whence I come, or whither I go.
Giovanni 8:15 Voi giudicate secondo la carne; io non giudico alcuno.	John 8:15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
Giovanni 8:16 E anche se giudico, il mio giudizio è verace, perché non son solo, ma son io col Padre che mi ha mandato.	John 8:16 Yea and if I judge, my judgment is true; for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
Giovanni 8:17 D’altronde nella vostra legge è scritto che la testimonianza di due uomini è verace.	John 8:17 Yea and in your law it is written, that the witness of two men is true.
Giovanni 8:18 Or son io a testimoniar di me stesso, e il Padre che mi ha mandato testimonia pur di me.	John 8:18 I am he that beareth witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
Giovanni 8:19 Onde essi gli dissero: Dov’è tuo padre? Gesù rispose: Voi non conoscete né me né il Padre mio: se conosceste me, conoscereste anche il Padre mio.	John 8:19 They said therefore unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye know neither me, nor my Father: if ye knew me, ye would know my Father also.
Giovanni 8:20 Queste parole disse Gesù nel tesoro, insegnando nel tempio; e nessuno lo prese, perché l’ora sua non era ancora venuta.	John 8:20 These words spake he in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man took him; because his hour was not yet come.
Giovanni 8:21 Egli dunque disse loro di nuovo: Io me ne vado, e voi mi cercherete, e morrete nel vostro peccato; dove vado io, voi non potete venire.	John 8:21 He said therefore again unto them, I go away, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sin: whither I go, ye cannot come.
Giovanni 8:22 Perciò i Giudei dicevano: S’ucciderà egli forse, poiché dice: Dove vado io voi non potete venire?	John 8:22 The Jews therefore said, Will he kill himself, that he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come?
Giovanni 8:23 Ed egli diceva loro: Voi siete di quaggiù; io sono di lassù; voi siete di questo mondo; io non sono di questo mondo.	John 8:23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
Giovanni 8:24 Perciò v’ho detto che morrete ne’ vostri peccati; perché se non credete che sono io (il Cristo), morrete nei vostri peccati.	John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for except ye believe that I am [he], ye shall die in your sins.
Giovanni 8:25 Allora gli domandarono: Chi sei tu? Gesù rispose loro: Sono per l’appunto quel che vo dicendovi.	John 8:25 They said therefore unto him, Who art thou? Jesus said unto them, Even that which I have also spoken unto you from the beginning.
Giovanni 8:26 Ho molte cose da dire e da giudicare sul conto vostro; ma Colui che mi ha mandato è verace, e le cose che ho udite da lui, le dico al mondo.	John 8:26 I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you: howbeit he that sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these speak I unto the world.
Giovanni 8:27 Essi non capirono ch’egli parlava loro del Padre.	John 8:27 They perceived not that he spake to them of the Father.
Giovanni 8:28 Gesù dunque disse loro: Quando avrete innalzato il Figliuol dell’uomo, allora conoscerete che son io (il Cristo) e che non fo nulla da me, ma dico queste cose secondo che il Padre m’ha insegnato.	John 8:28 Jesus therefore said, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am [he], and [that] I do nothing of myself, but as the Father taught me, I speak these things.
Giovanni 8:29 E Colui che mi ha mandato è meco; Egli non mi ha lasciato solo, perché fo del continuo le cose che gli piacciono.	John 8:29 And he that sent me is with me; he hath not left me alone; for I do always the things that are pleasing to him.
Giovanni 8:30 Mentr’egli parlava così, molti credettero in lui.	John 8:30 As he spake these things, many believed on him.
Giovanni 8:31 Gesù allora prese a dire a que’ Giudei che aveano creduto in lui: Se perseverate nella mia parola, siete veramente miei discepoli;	John 8:31 Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed him, If ye abide in my word, [then] are ye truly my disciples;
Giovanni 8:32 e conoscerete la verità, e la verità vi farà liberi.	John 8:32 and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Giovanni 8:33 Essi gli risposero: noi siamo progenie d’Abramo, e non siamo mai stati schiavi di alcuno; come puoi tu dire: Voi diverrete liberi?	John 8:33 They answered unto him, We are Abraham's seed, and have never yet been in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
Giovanni 8:34 Gesù rispose loro: In verità, in verità vi dico che chi commette il peccato è schiavo del peccato.	John 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Every one that committeth sin is the bondservant of sin.
Giovanni 8:35 Or lo schiavo non dimora per sempre nella casa: il figliuolo vi dimora per sempre.	John 8:35 And the bondservant abideth not in the house for ever: the son abideth for ever.
Giovanni 8:36 Se dunque il Figliuolo vi farà liberi, sarete veramente liberi.	John 8:36 If therefore the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Giovanni 8:37 Io so che siete progenie d’Abramo; ma cercate d’uccidermi, perché la mia parola non penetra in voi.	John 8:37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed: yet ye seek to kill me, because my word hath not free course in you.
Giovanni 8:38 Io dico quel che ho veduto presso il Padre mio; e voi pure fate le cose che avete udite dal padre vostro.	John 8:38 I speak the things which I have seen with [my] Father: and ye also do the things which ye heard from [your] father.
Giovanni 8:39 Essi risposero e gli dissero: Il padre nostro è Abramo. Gesù disse loro: Se foste figliuoli d’Abramo, fareste le opere d’Abramo;	John 8:39 They answered and said unto him, Our father is Abraham. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
Giovanni 8:40 ma ora cercate d’uccider me, uomo che v’ho detta la verità che ho udita da Dio; così non fece Abramo.	John 8:40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I heard from God: this did not Abraham.
Giovanni 8:41 Voi fate le opere del padre vostro. Essi gli dissero: Noi non siam nati di fornicazione; abbiamo un solo Padre: Iddio.	John 8:41 Ye do the works of your father. They said unto him, We were not born of fornication; we have one Father, [even] God.
Giovanni 8:42 Gesù disse loro: Se Dio fosse vostro Padre, amereste me, perché io son proceduto e vengo da Dio, perché io non son venuto da me, ma è Lui che mi ha mandato.	John 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I came forth and am come from God; for neither have I come of myself, but he sent me.
Giovanni 8:43 Perché non comprendete il mio parlare? Perché non potete dare ascolto alla mia parola.	John 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? [Even] because ye cannot hear my word.
Giovanni 8:44 Voi siete progenie del diavolo, ch’è vostro padre, e volete fare i desideri del padre vostro. Egli è stato omicida fin dal principio e non si è attenuto alla verità, perché non c’è verità in lui. Quando parla il falso, parla del suo, perché è bugiardo e padre della menzogna.	John 8:44 Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father it is your will to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and standeth not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.
Giovanni 8:45 E a me, perché dico la verità, voi non credete.	John 8:45 But because I say the truth, ye believe me not.
Giovanni 8:46 Chi di voi mi convince di peccato? Se vi dico la verità, perché non mi credete?	John 8:46 Which of you convicteth me of sin? If I say truth, why do ye not believe me?
Giovanni 8:47 Chi è da Dio ascolta le parole di Dio. Per questo voi non le ascoltate; perché non siete da Dio.	John 8:47 He that is of God heareth the words of God: for this cause ye hear [them] not, because ye are not of God.
Giovanni 8:48 I Giudei risposero e gli dissero: Non diciam noi bene che sei un Samaritano e che hai un demonio?	John 8:48 The Jews answered and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a demon?
Giovanni 8:49 Gesù rispose: Io non ho un demonio, ma onoro il Padre mio e voi mi disonorate.	John 8:49 Jesus answered, I have not a demon; but I honor my Father, and ye dishonor me.
Giovanni 8:50 Ma io non cerco la mia gloria; v’è Uno che la cerca e che giudica.	John 8:50 But I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.
Giovanni 8:51 In verità, in verità vi dico che se uno osserva la mia parola, non vedrà mai la morte.	John 8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my word, he shall never see death.
Giovanni 8:52 I Giudei gli dissero: Or vediam bene che tu hai un demonio. Abramo e i profeti son morti, e tu dici: Se uno osserva la mia parola, non gusterà mai la morte.	John 8:52 The Jews said unto him, Now we know that thou hast a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my word, he shall never taste of death.
Giovanni 8:53 Sei tu forse maggiore del padre nostro Abramo, il quale è morto? Anche i profeti son morti; chi pretendi d’essere?	John 8:53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, who died? and the prophets died: whom makest thou thyself?
Giovanni 8:54 Gesù rispose: S’io glorifico me stesso, la mia gloria è un nulla; chi mi glorifica è il Padre mio, che voi dite esser vostro Dio,	John 8:54 Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing: it is my Father that glorifieth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God;
Giovanni 8:55 e non l’avete conosciuto; ma io lo conosco, e se dicessi di non conoscerlo, sarei un bugiardo come voi; ma io lo conosco e osservo la sua parola.	John 8:55 and ye have not known him: but I know him; and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be like unto you, a liar: but I know him, and keep his word.
Giovanni 8:56 Abramo, vostro padre, ha giubilato nella speranza di vedere il mio giorno; e l’ha veduto, e se n’è rallegrato.	John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day; and he saw it, and was glad.
Giovanni 8:57 I Giudei gli dissero: Tu non hai ancora cinquant’anni e hai veduto Abramo?	John 8:57 The Jews therefore said unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
Giovanni 8:58 Gesù disse loro: In verità, in verità vi dico: Prima che Abramo fosse nato, io sono.	John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was born, I am.
Giovanni 8:59 Allora essi presero delle pietre per tirargliele; ma Gesù si nascose ed uscì dal tempio.	John 8:59 They took up stones therefore to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple.
