Jeremías 36:1 Y ACONTECIO en el cuarto año de Joacim hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, que fué esta palabra á Jeremías, de Jehová, diciendo:	Jeremiah 36:1 Now it came about in the fourth year of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, that this word came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,
Jeremías 36:2 Tómate un rollo de libro, y escribe en él todas las palabras que te he hablado contra Israel y contra Judá, y contra todas las gentes, desde el día que comencé á hablarte, desde los días de Josías hasta hoy.	Jeremiah 36:2 Take a book and put down in it all the words I have said to you against Israel and against Judah and against all the nations, from the day when my word came to you in the days of Josiah till this day.
Jeremías 36:3 Quizá oirá la casa de Judá todo el mal que yo pienso hacerles, para avolverse cada uno de su mal camino, y yo perdonaré su maldad y su pecado.	Jeremiah 36:3 It may be that the people of Judah, hearing of all the evil which it is my purpose to do to them, will be turned, every man from his evil ways; so that they may have my forgiveness for their evil-doing and their sin.
Jeremías 36:4 Y llamó Jeremías á Baruch hijo de Nerías, y escribió Baruch de boca de Jeremías, en un rollo de libro, todas las palabras que Jehová le había hablado.	Jeremiah 36:4 Then Jeremiah sent for Baruch, the son of Neriah; and Baruch took down from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the Lord which he had said to him, writing them in a book.
Jeremías 36:5 Después mandó Jeremías á Baruch, diciendo: Yo estoy preso, no puedo entrar en la casa de Jehova:	Jeremiah 36:5 And Jeremiah gave orders to Baruch, saying, I am shut up, and am not able to go into the house of the Lord:
Jeremías 36:6 Entra tú pues, y lee de este rollo que escribiste de mi boca, las palabras de Jehová en oídos del pueblo, en la casa de Jehová, el día del ayuno; y las leerás también en oídos de todo Judá que vienen de sus ciudades.	Jeremiah 36:6 So you are to go, reading there from the book, which you have taken down from my mouth, the words of the Lord, in the hearing of the people in the Lord's house, on a day when they go without food, and in the hearing of all the men of Judah who have come out from their towns.
Jeremías 36:7 Quizá caerá oración de ellos en la presencia de Jehová, y tornaráse cada uno de su mal camino; porque grande es el furor y la ira que ha expresado Jehová contra este pueblo.	Jeremiah 36:7 It may be that their prayer for grace will go up to the Lord, and that every man will be turned from his evil ways: for great is the wrath and the passion made clear by the Lord against this people.
Jeremías 36:8 Y Baruch hijo de Nerías hizo conforme á todas las cosas que le mandó Jeremías profeta, leyendo en el libro las palabras de Jehová en la casa de Jehová.	Jeremiah 36:8 And Baruch, the son of Neriah, did as Jeremiah the prophet gave him orders to do, reading from the book the words of the Lord in the Lord's house.
Jeremías 36:9 Y aconteció en el año quinto de Joacim hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, en el mes noveno, que promulgaron ayuno en la presencia de Jehová, á todo el pueblo de Jerusalem, y á todo el pueblo que venía de las ciudades de Judá á Jerusalem.	Jeremiah 36:9 Now it came about in the fifth year of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, in the ninth month, that it was given out publicly that all the people in Jerusalem, and all the people who came from the towns of Judah to Jerusalem, were to keep from food before the Lord.
Jeremías 36:10 Y Baruch leyó en el libro las palabras de Jeremías en la casa de Jehová, en la cámara de Gemarías hijo de Saphán escriba, en el atrio de arriba, á la entrada de la puerta nueva de la casa de Jehová, en oídos del pueblo.	Jeremiah 36:10 Then Baruch gave a public reading of the words of Jeremiah from the book, in the house of the Lord, in the room of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the higher square, as one goes in by the new doorway of the Lord's house, in the hearing of all the people.
Jeremías 36:11 Y Michêas hijo de Gemarías, hijo de Saphán, habiendo oído del libro todas las palabras de Jehová,	Jeremiah 36:11 And Micaiah, the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, after hearing all the words of the Lord from the book,
Jeremías 36:12 Descendió á la casa del rey, á la cámara del secretario, y he aquí que todos los príncipes estaban allí sentados, á saber: Elisama secretario, y Delaías hijo de Semeías, y Elnathán hijo de Achbor, y Gemarías hijo de Saphán, y Sedechîas hijo de Ananías, y todos los príncipes.	Jeremiah 36:12 Went down to the king's house, to the scribe's room: and all the rulers were seated there, Elishama the scribe and Delaiah, the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan, the son of Achbor, and Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah, the son of Hananiah, and all the rulers.
Jeremías 36:13 Y contóles Michêas todas las palabras que había oído leyendo Baruch en el libro en oídos del pueblo.	Jeremiah 36:13 Then Micaiah gave them an account of all the words which had come to his ears when Baruch was reading the book to the people.
Jeremías 36:14 Entonces enviaron todos los príncipes á Jehudí hijo de Nethanías, hijo de Selemías, hijo de Chusi, para que dijese á Baruch: Toma el rollo en que leíste á oídos del pueblo, y ven. Y Baruch, hijo de Nerías, tomó el rollo en su mano, y vino á ellos.	Jeremiah 36:14 So all the rulers sent Jehudi, the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, to Baruch, saying, Take in your hand the book from which you have been reading to the people and come. So Baruch, the son of Neriah, took the book in his hand and came down to them.
Jeremías 36:15 Y dijéronle: Siéntate ahora, y léelo en nuestros oídos. Y leyó Baruch en sus oídos.	Jeremiah 36:15 Then they said to him, Be seated now, and give us a reading from it. So Baruch did so, reading it to them.
Jeremías 36:16 Y fué que, como oyeron todas aquellas palabras, cada uno se volvió espantado á su compañero, y dijeron á Baruch: Sin duda contaremos al rey todas estas palabras.	Jeremiah 36:16 Now it came about that, after hearing all the words, they said to one another in fear, We will certainly give the king an account of all these words.
Jeremías 36:17 Preguntaron luego á Baruch, diciendo: Cuéntanos ahora cómo escribiste de boca de Jeremías todas estas palabras.	Jeremiah 36:17 And questioning Baruch, they said, Say now, how did you put all these words down in writing from his mouth?
Jeremías 36:18 Y Baruch les dijo: El me dictaba de su boca todas estas palabras, y yo escribía con tinta en el libro.	Jeremiah 36:18 Then Baruch, answering, said, He said all these things to me by word of mouth, and I put them down with ink in the book.
Jeremías 36:19 Entonces dijeron los príncipes á Baruch: Ve, y escóndete tú y Jeremías, y nadie sepa dónde estáis.	Jeremiah 36:19 Then the rulers said to Baruch, Go and put yourself in a safe place, you and Jeremiah, and let no man have knowledge of where you are.
Jeremías 36:20 Y entraron al rey al atrio, habiendo depositado el rollo en la cámara de Elisama secretario; y contaron en los oídos del rey todas estas palabras.	Jeremiah 36:20 Then they went into the open square to the king; but the book they put away in the room of Elishama the scribe; and they gave the king an account of all the words.
Jeremías 36:21 Y envió el rey á Jehudí á que tomase el rollo, el cual lo tomó de la cámara de Elisama secretario, y leyó en él Jehudí en oídos del rey, y en oídos de todos los príncipes que junto al rey estaban.	Jeremiah 36:21 So the king sent Jehudi to get the book, and he took it from the room of Elishama the scribe. And Jehudi gave a reading of it in the hearing of the king and all the rulers who were by the king's side.
Jeremías 36:22 Y el rey estaba en la casa de invierno en el mes noveno, y había un brasero ardiendo delante de él;	Jeremiah 36:22 Now the king was seated in the winter house, and a fire was burning in the fireplace in front of him.
Jeremías 36:23 Y fué que, como Jehudí hubo leído tres ó cuatro planas, rasgólo con un cuchillo de escribanía, y echólo en el fuego que había en el brasero, hasta que todo el rollo se consumió sobre el fuego que en el brasero había.	Jeremiah 36:23 And it came about that whenever Jehudi, in his reading, had got through three or four divisions, the king, cutting them with his penknife, put them into the fire, till all the book was burned up in the fire which was burning in the fireplace.
Jeremías 36:24 Y no tuvieron temor, ni rasgaron sus vestidos, el rey y todos sus siervos que oyeron todas estas palabras.	Jeremiah 36:24 But they had no fear and gave no signs of grief, not the king or any of his servants, after hearing all these words.
Jeremías 36:25 Y aunque Elnathán y Delaías y Gemarías rogaron al rey que no quemase aquel rollo, no los quiso oir:	Jeremiah 36:25 And Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made a strong request to the king not to let the book be burned, but he would not give ear to them.
Jeremías 36:26 Antes mandó el rey á Jerameel hijo de Amelech, y á Seraías hijo de Azriel, y á Selemías hijo de Abdeel, que prendiesen á Baruch el escribiente y á Jeremías profeta; mas Jehová los escondió.	Jeremiah 36:26 And the king gave orders to Jerahmeel, the king's son, and Seraiah, the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah, the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: but the Lord kept them safe.
Jeremías 36:27 Y fué palabra de Jehová á Jeremías, después que el rey quemó el rollo, las palabras que Baruch había escrito de boca de Jeremías, diciendo:	Jeremiah 36:27 Then after the book, in which Baruch had put down the words of Jeremiah, had been burned by the king, the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying,
Jeremías 36:28 Vuelve á tomar otro rollo, y escribe en él todas las palabras primeras, que estaban en el primer rollo que quemó Joacim, el rey de Judá.	Jeremiah 36:28 Take another book and put down in it all the words which were in the first book, which Jehoiakim, king of Judah, put into the fire.
Jeremías 36:29 Y dirás á Joacim rey de Judá: Así ha dicho Jehová: Tú quemaste este rollo, diciendo: ¿Por qué escribiste en él, diciendo: De cierto, vendrá el rey de Babilonia, y destruirá esta tierra, y hará que no queden en ella hombres ni animales?	Jeremiah 36:29 And about Jehoiakim, king of Judah, you are to say, This is what the Lord has said: You have put this book into the fire, saying, Why have you put in it that the king of Babylon will certainly come, causing the destruction of this land and putting an end to every man and beast in it?
Jeremías 36:30 Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová, en orden á Joacim rey de Judá: No tendrá quien se siente sobre el trono de David; y su cuerpo será echado al calor del día y al hielo de la noche.	Jeremiah 36:30 For this reason the Lord has said of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, He will have no son to take his place on the seat of David: his dead body will be put out to undergo the heat of the day and the cold of the night.
Jeremías 36:31 Y visitaré sobre él, y sobre su simiente, y sobre sus siervos, su maldad; y traeré sobre ellos, y sobre los moradores de Jerusalem, y sobre los varones de Judá, todo el mal que les he dicho y no escucharon.	Jeremiah 36:31 And I will send punishment on him and on his seed and on his servants for their evil-doing; I will send on them and on the people of Jerusalem and the men of Judah, all the evil which I said against them, but they did not give ear.
Jeremías 36:32 Y tomó Jeremías otro rollo, y diólo á Baruch hijo de Nerías escriba; y escribió en él de boca de Jeremías todas las palabras del libro que quemó en el fuego Joacim rey de Judá; y aun fueron añadidas sobre ellas muchas otras palabras semejantes.	Jeremiah 36:32 Then Jeremiah took another book, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah, who put down in it, from the mouth of Jeremiah, all the words of the book which had been burned in the fire by Jehoiakim, king of Judah: and in addition a number of other words of the same sort.
