Judges 14:1 Now Samson went down to Timnah, and saw a woman in Timnah, of the daughters of the Philistines;	Jueces 14:1 Y Descendiendo Samsón á Timnah, vió en Timnah una mujer de las hijas de los Filisteos.
Judges 14:2 And when he came back he said to his father and mother, I have seen a woman in Timnah, of the daughters of the Philistines: get her now for me for my wife.	Jueces 14:2 Y subió, y declarólo á su padre y á su madre, diciendo: Yo he visto en Timnah una mujer de las hijas de los Filisteos: ruégoos que me la toméis por mujer.
Judges 14:3 Then his father and mother said to him, Is there no woman among the daughters of your relations or among all my people, that you have to go for your wife to the Philistines, who are without circumcision? But Samson said to his father, Get her for me, for she is pleasing to me.	Jueces 14:3 Y su padre y su madre le dijeron: ¿No hay mujer entre las hijas de tus hermanos, ni en todo mi pueblo, para que vayas tú á tomar mujer de los Filisteos incircuncisos? Y Samsón respondió á su padre: Tómamela por mujer, porque ésta agradó á mis ojos.
Judges 14:4 Now his father and mother had no knowledge that this was the purpose of the Lord, who had the destruction of the Philistines in mind. Now the Philistines at that time were ruling over Israel.	Jueces 14:4 Mas su padre y su madre no sabían que esto venía de Jehová, y que él buscaba ocasión contra los Filisteos: porque en aquel tiempo los Filisteos dominaban sobre Israel.
Judges 14:5 Then Samson went down to Timnah (and his father and his mother,) and came to the vine-gardens of Timnah; and a young lion came rushing out at him.	Jueces 14:5 Y Samsón descendió con su padre y con su madre á Timnah: y como llegaron á las viñas de Timnah, he aquí un cachorro de león que venía bramando hacia él.
Judges 14:6 And the spirit of the Lord came on him with power, and, unarmed as he was, pulling the lion in two as one might do to a young goat, he put him to death; (but he said nothing to his father and mother of what he had done.)	Jueces 14:6 Y el espíritu de Jehová cayó sobre él, y despedazólo como quien despedaza un cabrito, sin tener nada en su mano: y no dió á entender á su padre ni á su madre lo que había hecho.
Judges 14:7 So he went down and had talk with the woman; and she was pleasing to Samson.	Jueces 14:7 Vino pues, y habló á la mujer que había agradado á Samsón.
Judges 14:8 Then after a time he went back to take her; and turning from the road to see the dead body of the lion, he saw a mass of bees in the body of the lion, and honey there.	Jueces 14:8 Y volviendo después de algunos días para tomarla, apartóse para ver el cuerpo muerto del león, y he aquí en el cuerpo del león un enjambre de abejas, y un panal de miel.
Judges 14:9 And he took the honey in his hand, and went on, tasting it on the way; and when he came to his father and mother he gave some to them; but did not say that he had taken the honey from the body of the lion.	Jueces 14:9 Y tomándolo en sus manos, fuése comiéndolo por el camino: y llegado que hubo á su padre y á su madre, dióles también á ellos que comiesen; mas no les descubrió que había tomado aquella miel del cuerpo del león.
Judges 14:10 Then Samson went down to the woman, and made a feast there, as was the way among young men.	Jueces 14:10 Vino pues su padre á la mujer, y Samsón hizo allí banquete; porque así solían hacer los mancebos.
Judges 14:11 And he took thirty friends, and they were with him.	Jueces 14:11 Y como ellos le vieron, tomaron treinta compañeros que estuviesen con él;
Judges 14:12 And Samson said, Now I have a hard question for you: if you are able to give me the answer before the seven days of the feast are over, I will give you thirty linen robes and thirty changes of clothing;	Jueces 14:12 A los cuales Samsón dijo: Yo os propondré ahora un enigma, el cual si en los siete días del banquete vosotros me declarareis y descubriereis, yo os daré treinta sábanas y treinta mudas de vestidos.
Judges 14:13 But if you are not able to give me the answer, then you will have to give me thirty linen robes and thirty changes of clothing. And they said to him, Put your hard question and let us see what it is.	Jueces 14:13 Mas si no me lo supiereis declarar, vosotros me daréis las treinta sábanas y las treinta mudas de vestidos. Y ellos respondieron: Propónnos tu enigma, y lo oiremos.
Judges 14:14 And he said, Out of the taker of food came food, and out of the strong came the sweet. And at the end of three days they were still not able to give the answer.	Jueces 14:14 Entonces les dijo: Del comedor salió comida, Y del fuerte salió dulzura. Y ellos no pudieron declararle el enigma en tres días.
Judges 14:15 So on the fourth day they said to Samson's wife, Get from your husband the answer to his question by some trick or other, or we will have you and your father's house burned with fire; did you get us here to take all we have?	Jueces 14:15 Y al séptimo día dijeron á la mujer de Samsón: Induce á tu marido á que nos declare este enigma, porque no te quememos á ti y á la casa de tu padre. ¿Habéisnos llamado aquí para poseernos?
Judges 14:16 Then Samson's wife, weeping over him, said, Truly you have no love for me but only hate; you have put a hard question to the children of my people and have not given me the answer. And he said to her, See, I have not given the answer even to my father or my mother; am I to give it to you?	Jueces 14:16 Y lloró la mujer de Samsón delante de él, y dijo: Solamente me aborreces y no me amas, pues que no me declaras el enigma que propusiste á los hijos de mi pueblo. Y él respondió: He aquí que ni á mi padre ni á mi madre lo he declarado; y ¿habíalo de declarar á ti?
Judges 14:17 And all the seven days of the feast she went on weeping over him; and on the seventh day he gave her the answer, because she gave him no peace; and she sent word of it to the children of her people.	Jueces 14:17 Y ella lloró delante de él los siete días que ellos tuvieron banquete: mas al séptimo día él se lo declaró, porque le constriñó; y ella lo declaró á los hijos de su pueblo.
Judges 14:18 Then on the seventh day, before he went into the bride's room, the men of the town said to him, What is sweeter than honey? and what is stronger than a lion? And he said to them, If you had not been ploughing with my cow you would not have got the answer to my question.	Jueces 14:18 Y al séptimo día, antes que el sol se pusiese, los de la ciudad le dijeron: ¿Qué cosa más dulce que la miel? ¿Y qué cosa más fuerte que el león? Si no araseis con mi novilla, Nunca hubierais descubierto mi enigma.
Judges 14:19 And the spirit of the Lord came rushing on him, and he went down to Ashkelon and, attacking thirty men there, took their clothing from them, and gave it to the men who had given the answer to his hard question. Then, full of wrath, he went back to his father's house.	Jueces 14:19 (14-20) Y el espíritu de Jehová cayó sobre él, y descendió á Ascalón, é hirió treinta hombres de ellos; y tomando sus despojos, dió las mudas de vestidos á los que habían explicado el enigma: y encendido en enojo fuése á casa de su padre.
Judges 14:20 But Samson's wife was given to the friend who had been his best man.	Jueces 14:20 (14-21) Y la mujer de Samsón fué dada á su compañero, con el cual él antes se acompañaba.
