Isaiah 42	Isaías 42
Isaiah 42:1 See my servant, whom I am supporting, my loved one, in whom I take delight: I have put my spirit on him; he will give the knowledge of the true God to the nations.	Isaías 42:1 HE aquí mi siervo, yo lo sostendré; mi escogido en quien mi alma toma contentamiento: he puesto sobre él mi espíritu, dará juicio á las gentes.
Isaiah 42:2 He will make no cry, his voice will not be loud: his words will not come to men's ears in the streets.	Isaías 42:2 No clamará, ni alzará, ni hará oir su voz en las plazas.
Isaiah 42:3 He will not let a crushed stem be quite broken, and he will not let a feebly burning light be put out: he will go on sending out the true word to the peoples.	Isaías 42:3 No quebrará la caña cascada, ni apagará el pábilo que humeare: sacará el juicio á verdad.
Isaiah 42:4 His light will not be put out, and he will not be crushed, till he has given the knowledge of the true God to the earth, and the sea-lands will be waiting for his teaching.	Isaías 42:4 No se cansará, ni desmayará, hasta que ponga en la tierra juicio; y las islas esperarán su ley.
Isaiah 42:5 God the Lord, even he who made the heavens, measuring them out on high; stretching out the earth, and giving its produce; he who gives breath to the people on it, and life to those who go about on it, says:	Isaías 42:5 Así dice el Dios Jehová, el Criador de los cielos, y el que los extiende; el que extiende la tierra y sus verduras; el que da respiración al pueblo que mora sobre ella, y espíritu á los que por ella andan:
Isaiah 42:6 I the Lord have made you the vessel of my purpose, I have taken you by the hand, and kept you safe, and I have given you to be an agreement to the people, and a light to the nations:	Isaías 42:6 Yo Jehová te he llamado en justicia, y te tendré por la mano; te guardaré y te pondré por alianza del pueblo, por luz de las gentes;
Isaiah 42:7 To give eyes to the blind, to make free the prisoners from the prison, to let out those who are shut up in the dark.	Isaías 42:7 Para que abras ojos de ciegos, para que saques de la cárcel á los presos, y de casas de prisión á los que están de asiento en tinieblas.
Isaiah 42:8 I am the Lord; that is my name: I will not give my glory to another, or my praise to pictured images.	Isaías 42:8 Yo Jehová: este es mi nombre; y á otro no daré mi gloria, ni mi alabanza á esculturas.
Isaiah 42:9 See, the things said before have come about, and now I give word of new things: before they come I give you news of them.	Isaías 42:9 Las cosas primeras he aquí vinieron, y yo anuncio nuevas cosas: antes que salgan á luz, yo os las haré notorias.
Isaiah 42:10 Make a new song to the Lord, and let his praise be sounded from the end of the earth; you who go down to the sea, and everything in it, the sea-lands and their people.	Isaías 42:10 Cantad á Jehová un nuevo cántico, su alabanza desde el fin de la tierra; los que descendéis á la mar, y lo que la hinche, las islas y los moradores de ellas.
Isaiah 42:11 Let the waste land and its flocks be glad, the tent-circles of Kedar; let the people of the rock give a glad cry, from the top of the mountains let them make a sound of joy.	Isaías 42:11 Alcen la voz el desierto y sus ciudades, las aldeas donde habita Cedar: canten los moradores de la Piedra, y desde la cumbre de los montes den voces de júbilo.
Isaiah 42:12 Let them give glory to the Lord, sounding his praise in the sea-lands.	Isaías 42:12 Den gloria á Jehová, y prediquen sus loores en las islas.
Isaiah 42:13 The Lord will go out as a man of war, he will be moved to wrath like a fighting-man: his voice will be strong, he will give a loud cry; he will go against his attackers like a man of war.	Isaías 42:13 Jehová saldrá como gigante, y como hombre de guerra despertará celo: gritará, voceará, esforzaráse sobre sus enemigos.
Isaiah 42:14 I have long been quiet, I have kept myself in and done nothing: now I will make sounds of pain like a woman in childbirth, breathing hard and quickly.	Isaías 42:14 Desde el siglo he callado, tenido he silencio, y heme detenido: daré voces como la que está de parto; asolaré y devoraré juntamente.
Isaiah 42:15 I will make waste mountains and hills, drying up all their plants; and I will make rivers dry, and pools dry land.	Isaías 42:15 Tornaré en soledad montes y collados, haré secar toda su hierba; los ríos tornaré en islas, y secaré los estanques.
Isaiah 42:16 And I will take the blind by a way of which they had no knowledge, guiding them by roads strange to them: I will make the dark places light before them, and the rough places level. These things will I do and will not give them up.	Isaías 42:16 Y guiaré los ciegos por camino que no sabían, haréles pisar por las sendas que no habían conocido; delante de ellos tornaré las tinieblas en luz, y los rodeos en llanura. Estas cosas les haré, y no los desampararé.
Isaiah 42:17 They will be turned back and be greatly shamed who put their hope in pictured images, who say to metal images, You are our gods.	Isaías 42:17 Serán vueltos atrás, y en extremo confundidos, los que confían en las esculturas, y dicen á las estatuas de fundición: Vosotros sois nuestros dioses.
Isaiah 42:18 Give ear, you whose ears are shut; and let your eyes be open, you blind, so that you may see.	Isaías 42:18 Sordos, oid; y vosotros ciegos, mirad para ver.
Isaiah 42:19 Who is blind, but my servant? who has his ears stopped, but he whom I send? who is blind as my true one, or who has his ears shut like the Lord's servant?	Isaías 42:19 ¿Quién ciego, sino mi siervo? ¿quién sordo, como mi mensajero que envié? ¿quién ciego como el perfecto, y ciego como el siervo de Jehová,
Isaiah 42:20 Seeing much, but keeping nothing in mind; his ears are open, but there is no hearing.	Isaías 42:20 Que ve muchas cosas y no advierte, que abre los oídos y no oye?
Isaiah 42:21 It was the Lord's pleasure, because of his righteousness, to make the teaching great and give it honour.	Isaías 42:21 Jehová se complació por amor de su justicia en magnificar la ley y engrandecerla.
Isaiah 42:22 But this is a people whose property has been taken away from them by force; they are all taken in holes, and shut up in prisons: they are made prisoners, and no one makes them free; they are taken by force and no one says, Give them back.	Isaías 42:22 Mas este es pueblo saqueado y hollado, todos ellos enlazados en cavernas y escondidos en cárceles: son puestos á saco, y no hay quien libre; hollados, y no hay quien diga, Restituid.
Isaiah 42:23 Who is there among you who will give ear to this? who will give attention to it for the time to come?	Isaías 42:23 ¿Quién de vosotros oirá esto? ¿quién atenderá y escuchará en orden al porvernir?
Isaiah 42:24 Who gave up Jacob to those who took away his goods, and Israel to his attackers? Did not the Lord? he against whom they did wrong, and in whose ways they would not go, turning away from his teaching.	Isaías 42:24 ¿Quién dió á Jacob en presa, y entregó á Israel á saqueadores? ¿No fué Jehová, contra quien pecamos? y no quisieron andar en sus caminos, ni oyeron su ley.
Isaiah 42:25 For this reason he let loose on him the heat of his wrath, and his strength was like a flame; and it put fire round about him, but he did not see it; he was burned, but did not take it to heart.	Isaías 42:25 Por tanto derramó sobre él el furor de su ira, y fuerza de guerra; púsole fuego de todas partes, empero no entendió; y encendióle, mas no ha parado mientes.
