Proverbs 1	Proverbi 1
Proverbs 1:1 The wise sayings of Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel.	Proverbi 1:1 Proverbi di Salomone, figliuolo di Davide, re d’Israele;
Proverbs 1:2 To have knowledge of wise teaching; to be clear about the words of reason:	Proverbi 1:2 perché l’uomo conosca la sapienza e l’istruzione, e intenda i detti sensati;
Proverbs 1:3 To be trained in the ways of wisdom, in righteousness and judging truly and straight behaviour:	Proverbi 1:3 perché riceva istruzione circa l’assennatezza, la giustizia, l’equità, la dirittura;
Proverbs 1:4 To make the simple-minded sharp, and to give the young man knowledge, and serious purpose:	Proverbi 1:4 per dare accorgimento ai semplici, e conoscenza e riflessione al giovane.
Proverbs 1:5 (The wise man, hearing, will get greater learning, and the acts of the man of good sense will be wisely guided:)	Proverbi 1:5 Il savio ascolterà, e accrescerà il suo sapere; l’uomo intelligente ne ritrarrà buone direzioni
Proverbs 1:6 To get the sense of wise sayings and secrets, and of the words of the wise and their dark sayings.	Proverbi 1:6 per capire i proverbi e le allegorie, le parole dei savi e i loro enigmi.
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the start of knowledge: but the foolish have no use for wisdom and teaching.	Proverbi 1:7 Il timore dell’Eterno è il principio della scienza; gli stolti disprezzano la sapienza e l’istruzione.
Proverbs 1:8 My son, give ear to the training of your father, and do not give up the teaching of your mother:	Proverbi 1:8 Ascolta, figliuol mio, l’istruzione di tuo padre e non ricusare l’insegnamento di tua madre;
Proverbs 1:9 For they will be a crown of grace for your head, and chain-ornaments about your neck.	Proverbi 1:9 poiché saranno una corona di grazia sul tuo capo, e monili al tuo collo.
Proverbs 1:10 My son, if sinners would take you out of the right way, do not go with them.	Proverbi 1:10 Figliuol mio, se i peccatori ti vogliono sedurre, non dar loro retta.
Proverbs 1:11 If they say, Come with us; let us make designs against the good, waiting secretly for the upright, without cause;	Proverbi 1:11 Se dicono: "Vieni con noi; mettiamoci in agguato per uccidere; tendiamo insidie senza motivo all’innocente;
Proverbs 1:12 Let us overcome them living, like the underworld, and in their strength, as those who go down to death;	Proverbi 1:12 inghiottiamoli vivi, come il soggiorno de’ morti, e tutt’interi come quelli che scendon nella fossa;
Proverbs 1:13 Goods of great price will be ours, our houses will be full of wealth;	Proverbi 1:13 noi troveremo ogni sorta di beni preziosi, empiremo le nostre case di bottino;
Proverbs 1:14 Take your chance with us, and we will all have one money-bag:	Proverbi 1:14 tu trarrai a sorte la tua parte con noi, non ci sarà fra noi tutti che una borsa sola"
Proverbs 1:15 My son, do not go with them; keep your feet from their ways:	Proverbi 1:15 figliuol mio, non t’incamminare con essi; trattieni il tuo piè lungi dal loro sentiero;
Proverbs 1:16 For their feet are running after evil, and they are quick to take a man's life.	Proverbi 1:16 poiché i loro piedi corrono al male ed essi s’affrettano a spargere il sangue.
Proverbs 1:17 Truly, to no purpose is the net stretched out before the eyes of the bird:	Proverbi 1:17 Si tende invano la rete dinanzi a ogni sorta d’uccelli;
Proverbs 1:18 And they are secretly waiting for their blood and making ready destruction for themselves.	Proverbi 1:18 ma costoro pongono agguati al loro proprio sangue, e tendono insidie alla stessa loro vita.
Proverbs 1:19 Such is the fate of everyone who goes in search of profit; it takes away the life of its owners.	Proverbi 1:19 Tal è la sorte di chiunque è avido di guadagno; esso toglie la vita a chi lo possiede.
Proverbs 1:20 Wisdom is crying out in the street; her voice is loud in the open places;	Proverbi 1:20 La sapienza grida per le vie, fa udire la sua voce per le piazze;
Proverbs 1:21 Her words are sounding in the meeting-places, and in the doorways of the town:	Proverbi 1:21 nei crocicchi affollati ella chiama, all’ingresso delle porte, in città, pronunzia i suoi discorsi:
Proverbs 1:22 How long, you simple ones, will foolish things be dear to you? and pride a delight to the haters of authority? how long will the foolish go on hating knowledge?	Proverbi 1:22 "Fino a quando, o scempi, amerete la scempiaggine? fino a quando gli schernitori prenderanno gusto a schernire e gli stolti avranno in odio la scienza?
Proverbs 1:23 Be turned again by my sharp words: see, I will send the flow of my spirit on you, and make my words clear to you.	Proverbi 1:23 Volgetevi a udire la mia riprensione; ecco, io farò sgorgare su voi lo spirito mio, vi farò conoscere le mie parole…
Proverbs 1:24 Because your ears were shut to my voice; no one gave attention to my out-stretched hand;	Proverbi 1:24 Ma poiché, quand’ho chiamato avete rifiutato d’ascoltare, quand’ho steso la mano nessun vi ha badato,
Proverbs 1:25 You were not controlled by my guiding, and would have nothing to do with my sharp words:	Proverbi 1:25 anzi avete respinto ogni mio consiglio e della mia correzione non ne avete voluto sapere,
Proverbs 1:26 So in the day of your trouble I will be laughing; I will make sport of your fear;	Proverbi 1:26 anch’io mi riderò delle vostre sventure, mi farò beffe quando lo spavento vi piomberà addosso;
Proverbs 1:27 When your fear comes on you like a storm, and your trouble like a rushing wind; when pain and sorrow come on you.	Proverbi 1:27 quando lo spavento vi piomberà addosso come una tempesta quando la sventura v’investirà come un uragano, e vi cadranno addosso la distretta l’angoscia.
Proverbs 1:28 Then I will give no answer to their cries; searching for me early, they will not see me:	Proverbi 1:28 Allora mi chiameranno, ma io non risponderò; mi cercheranno con premura ma non mi troveranno.
Proverbs 1:29 For they were haters of knowledge, and did not give their hearts to the fear of the Lord:	Proverbi 1:29 Poiché hanno odiato la scienza e non hanno scelto il timor dell’Eterno
Proverbs 1:30 They had no desire for my teaching, and my words of protest were as nothing to them.	Proverbi 1:30 e non hanno voluto sapere dei miei consigli e hanno disdegnato ogni mia riprensione,
Proverbs 1:31 So the fruit of their way will be their food, and with the designs of their hearts they will be made full.	Proverbi 1:31 si pasceranno del frutto della loro condotta, e saranno saziati dei loro propri consigli.
Proverbs 1:32 For the turning back of the simple from teaching will be the cause of their death, and the peace of the foolish will be their destruction.	Proverbi 1:32 Poiché il pervertimento degli scempi li uccide, e lo sviarsi degli stolti li fa perire;
Proverbs 1:33 But whoever gives ear to me will take his rest safely, living in peace without fear of evil.	Proverbi 1:33 ma chi m’ascolta se ne starà al sicuro, sarà tranquillo, senza paura d’alcun male".
