Genesis 23:1 Now the years of Sarah's life were a hundred and twenty-seven.	Genesi 23:1 Or la vita di Sara fu di centoventisette anni. Tanti furon gli anni della vita di Sara.
Genesis 23:2 And Sarah's death took place in Kiriath-arba, that is, Hebron, in the land of Canaan: and Abraham went into his house, weeping and sorrowing for Sarah.	Genesi 23:2 E Sara morì a Kiriat-Arba, che è Hebron, nel paese di Canaan; e Abrahamo venne a far duolo di Sara e a piangerla.
Genesis 23:3 And Abraham came from his dead and said to the children of Heth,	Genesi 23:3 Poi Abrahamo si levò di presso al suo morto, e parlò ai figliuoli di Heth, dicendo:
Genesis 23:4 I am living among you as one from a strange country: give me some land here as my property, so that I may put my dead to rest.	Genesi 23:4 "Io sono straniero e avventizio fra voi; datemi la proprietà di un sepolcro fra voi, affinché io seppellisca il mio morto e me lo tolga d’innanzi".
Genesis 23:5 And in answer the children of Heth said to Abraham,	Genesi 23:5 E i figliuoli di Heth risposero ad Abrahamo dicendogli:
Genesis 23:6 My lord, truly you are a great chief among us; take the best of our resting-places for your dead; not one of us will keep back from you a place where you may put your dead to rest.	Genesi 23:6 "Ascoltaci, signore; tu sei fra noi un principe di Dio; seppellisci il tuo morto nel migliore dei nostri sepolcri; nessun di noi ti rifiuterà il suo sepolcro perché tu vi seppellisca il tuo morto".
Genesis 23:7 And Abraham got up and gave honour to the children of Heth, the people of that land.	Genesi 23:7 E Abrahamo si levò, s’inchinò dinanzi al popolo del paese, dinanzi ai figliuoli di Heth, e parlò loro dicendo:
Genesis 23:8 And he said to them, If you will let me put my dead to rest here, make a request for me to Ephron, the son of Zohar,	Genesi 23:8 "Se piace a voi ch’io tolga il mio morto d’innanzi a me e lo seppellisca, ascoltatemi, e intercedete per me presso Efron figliuolo di Zohar
Genesis 23:9 That he will give me the hollow in the rock named Machpelah, which is his property at the end of his field; let him give it to me for its full price as a resting-place for my dead among you.	Genesi 23:9 perché mi ceda la sua spelonca di Macpela che è all’estremità del suo campo, e me la dia per l’intero suo prezzo, come sepolcro che m’appartenga fra voi".
Genesis 23:10 Now Ephron was seated among the children of Heth: and Ephron the Hittite gave Abraham his answer in the hearing of the children of Heth, and of all those who came into his town, saying,	Genesi 23:10 Or Efron sedeva in mezzo ai figliuoli di Heth; ed Efron, lo Hitteo, rispose ad Abrahamo in presenza dei figliuoli di Heth, di tutti quelli che entravano per la porta della sua città, dicendo:
Genesis 23:11 No, my lord, I will give you the field with the hollow in the rock; before all the children of my people will I give it to you for a resting-place for your dead.	Genesi 23:11 "No, mio signore, ascoltami! Io ti dono il campo, e ti dono la spelonca che v’è; te ne fo dono, in presenza de’ figliuoli del mio popolo; seppellisci il tuo morto".
Genesis 23:12 And Abraham went down on his face before the people of the land.	Genesi 23:12 E Abrahamo s’inchinò dinanzi al popolo del paese,
Genesis 23:13 And Abraham said to Ephron, in the hearing of the people of the land, If only you will give ear to me, I will give you the price of the field; take it, and let me put my dead to rest there.	Genesi 23:13 e parlò ad Efron in presenza del popolo del paese, dicendo: "Deh, ascoltami! Io ti darò il prezzo del campo; accettalo da me, e io seppellirò quivi il mio morto".
Genesis 23:14 So Ephron said to Abraham,	Genesi 23:14 Ed Efron rispose ad Abrahamo, dicendogli:
Genesis 23:15 My lord, give ear to me: the value of the land is four hundred shekels; what is that between me and you? so put your dead to rest there.	Genesi 23:15 "Signor mio, ascoltami! Un pezzo di terreno di quattrocento sicli d’argento, che cos’è fra me e te? Seppellisci dunque il tuo morto".
Genesis 23:16 And Abraham took note of the price fixed by Ephron in the hearing of the children of Heth, and gave him four hundred shekels in current money.	Genesi 23:16 E Abrahamo fece a modo di Efron; e Abrahamo pesò a Efron il prezzo ch’egli avea detto in presenza de’ figliuoli di Heth, quattrocento sicli d’argento, di buona moneta mercantile.
Genesis 23:17 So Ephron's field at Machpelah near Mamre, with the hollow in the rock and all the trees in the field and round it,	Genesi 23:17 Così il campo di Efron ch’era a Macpela dirimpetto a Mamre, il campo con la caverna che v’era, e tutti gli alberi ch’erano nel campo e in tutti i confini all’intorno,
Genesis 23:18 Became the property of Abraham before the eyes of the children of Heth and of all who came into the town.	Genesi 23:18 furono assicurati come proprietà d’Abrahamo, in presenza de’ figliuoli di Heth e di tutti quelli ch’entravano per la porta della città di Efron.
Genesis 23:19 Then Abraham put Sarah his wife to rest in the hollow rock in the field of Machpelah near Mamre, that is, Hebron in the land of Canaan.	Genesi 23:19 Dopo questo, Abrahamo seppellì Sara sua moglie nella spelonca del campo di Macpela dirimpetto a Mamre, che è Hebron, nel paese di Canaan.
Genesis 23:20 And the field and the hollow rock were handed over to Abraham as his property by the children of Heth.	Genesi 23:20 E il campo e la spelonca che v’è, furono assicurati ad Abrahamo, dai figliuoli di Heth, come sepolcro di sua proprietà.
