| To the chief music-maker. Of David. A Psalm. A Song.Let God be seen, and let his haters be put to flight; let those who are against him be turned back before him. | Au chef des chantres. De David. Psaume. Cantique. Dieu se lève, ses ennemis se dispersent, Et ses adversaires fuient devant sa face. |
| Let them be like smoke before the driving wind; as wax turning soft before the fire, so let them come to an end before the power of God. | Comme la fumée se dissipe, tu les dissipes; Comme la cire se fond au feu, Les méchants disparaissent devant Dieu. |
| But let the upright be glad; let them have delight before God; let them be full of joy. | Mais les justes se réjouissent, ils triomphent devant Dieu, Ils ont des transports d`allégresse. |
| Make songs to God, make songs of praise to his name; make a way for him who comes through the waste lands; his name is Jah; be glad before him. | Chantez à Dieu, célébrez son nom! Frayez le chemin à celui qui s`avance à travers les plaines! L`Éternel est son nom: réjouissez-vous devant lui! |
| A father to those who have no father, a judge of the widows, is God in his holy place. | Le père des orphelins, le défenseur des veuves, C`est Dieu dans sa demeure sainte. |
| Those who are without friends, God puts in families; he makes free those who are in chains; but those who are turned away from him are given a dry land. | Dieu donne une famille à ceux qui étaient abandonnés, Il délivre les captifs et les rend heureux; Les rebelles seuls habitent des lieux arides. |
| O God, when you went out before your people, wandering through the waste land; (Selah.) | O Dieu! quand tu sortis à la tête de ton peuple, Quand tu marchais dans le désert, -Pause. |
| The earth was shaking and the heavens were streaming, because God was present; even Sinai itself was moved before God, the God of Israel. | La terre trembla, les cieux se fondirent devant Dieu, Le Sinaï s`ébranla devant Dieu, le Dieu d`Israël. |
| You, O God, did freely send the rain, giving strength to the weariness of your heritage. | Tu fis tomber une pluie bienfaisante, ô Dieu! Tu fortifias ton héritage épuisé. |
| Those whose resting-place was there, even the poor, were comforted by your good things, O God. | Ton peuple établit sa demeure dans le pays Que ta bonté, ô Dieu! tu avais préparé pour les malheureux. |
| The Lord gives the word; great is the number of the women who make it public. | Le Seigneur dit une parole, Et les messagères de bonnes nouvelles sont une grande armée: - |
| Kings of armies quickly go in flight: and the women in the houses make a division of their goods. | Les rois des armées fuient, fuient, Et celle qui reste à la maison partage le butin. |
| Will you take your rest among the flocks? like the wings of a dove covered with silver, and its feathers with yellow gold. | Tandis que vous reposez au milieu des étables, Les ailes de la colombe sont couvertes d`argent, Et son plumage est d`un jaune d`or. - |
| When the Most High put the kings to flight, it was as white as snow in Salmon. | Lorsque le Tout Puissant dispersa les rois dans le pays, La terre devint blanche comme la neige du Tsalmon. |
| A hill of God is the hill of Bashan; a hill with high tops is the hill of Bashan. | Montagnes de Dieu, montagnes de Basan, Montagnes aux cimes nombreuses, montagnes de Basan, |
| Why are you looking with envy, you high hills, on the hill desired by God as his resting-place? truly, God will make it his house for ever. | Pourquoi, montagnes aux cimes nombreuses, avez-vous de l`envie Contre la montagne que Dieu a voulue pour résidence? L`Éternel n`en fera pas moins sa demeure à perpétuité. |
| The war-carriage of God is among Israel's thousands; the Lord has come from Sinai to the holy place. | Les chars de l`Éternel se comptent par vingt mille, Par milliers et par milliers; Le Seigneur est au milieu d`eux, le Sinaï est dans le sanctuaire. |
| You have gone up on high, taking your prisoners with you; you have taken offerings from men; the Lord God has taken his place on the seat of his power. | Tu es monté dans les hauteurs, tu as emmené des captifs, Tu as pris en don des hommes; Les rebelles habiteront aussi près de l`Éternel Dieu. |
| Praise be to the Lord, who is our support day by day, even the God of our salvation. (Selah.) | Béni soit le Seigneur chaque jour! Quand on nous accable, Dieu nous délivre. -Pause. |
| Our God is for us a God of salvation; his are the ways out of death. | Dieu est pour nous le Dieu des délivrances, Et l`Éternel, le Seigneur, peut nous garantir de la mort. |
| The heads of the haters of God will be crushed; even the head of him who still goes on in his evil ways. | Oui, Dieu brisera la tête de ses ennemis, Le sommet de la tête de ceux qui vivent dans le péché. |
| The Lord said, I will make them come back from Bashan, and from the deep parts of the sea; | Le Seigneur dit: Je les ramènerai de Basan, Je les ramènerai du fond de la mer, |
| So that your foot may be red with blood, and the tongues of your dogs with the same. | Afin que tu plonges ton pied dans le sang, Et que la langue de tes chiens ait sa part des ennemis. |
| We see your going, O God: even the going of my God, my King, into the holy place. | Ils voient ta marche, ô Dieu! La marche de mon Dieu, de mon roi, dans le sanctuaire. |
| The makers of songs go before, the players of music come after, among the young girls playing on brass instruments. | En tête vont les chanteurs, puis ceux qui jouent des instruments, Au milieu de jeunes filles battant du tambourin. |
| Give praise to God in the great meeting; even the Lord, you who come from the fountain of Israel. | Bénissez Dieu dans les assemblées, Bénissez le Seigneur, descendants d`Israël! |
| There is little Benjamin ruling them, the chiefs of Judah and their army, the rulers of Zebulun and the rulers of Naphtali. | Là sont Benjamin, le plus jeune, qui domine sur eux, Les chefs de Juda et leur troupe, Les chefs de Zabulon, les chefs de Nephthali. |
| O God, send out your strength; the strength, O God, with which you have done great things for us, | Ton Dieu ordonne que tu sois puissant; Affermis, ô Dieu, ce que tu as fait pour nous! |
| Out of your Temple in Jerusalem. | De ton temple tu règnes sur Jérusalem; Les rois t`apporteront des présents. |
| Say sharp words to the beast among the water-plants, the band of strong ones, with the lords of the peoples, put an end to the people whose delight is in war. | Épouvante l`animal des roseaux, La troupe des taureaux avec les veaux des peuples, Qui se prosternent avec des pièces d`argent! Disperse les peuples qui prennent plaisir à combattre! |
| Kings will give you offerings, they will come out of Egypt; from Pathros will come offerings of silver; Ethiopia will be stretching out her hands to God. | Des grands viennent de l`Égypte; L`Éthiopie accourt, les mains tendues vers Dieu. |
| Make songs to God, you kingdoms of the earth; O make songs of praise to the Lord; (Selah.) | Royaumes de la terre, chantez à Dieu, Célébrez le Seigneur! -Pause. |
| To him who goes or the clouds of heaven, the heaven which was from earliest times; he sends out his voice of power. | Chantez à celui qui s`avance dans les cieux, les cieux éternels! Voici, il fait entendre sa voix, sa voix puissante. |
| Make clear that strength is God's: he is lifted up over Israel, and his power is in the clouds. | Rendez gloire à Dieu! Sa majesté est sur Israël, et sa force dans les cieux. |
| O God, you are to be feared in your holy place: the God of Israel gives strength and power to his people. Praise be to God. | De ton sanctuaire, ô Dieu! tu es redoutable. Le Dieu d`Israël donne à son peuple la force et la puissance. Béni soit Dieu! |
