| And the Lord said to Moses, | L`Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit: |
| This is the law of the leper on the day when he is made clean: he is to be taken to the priest; | Voici quelle sera la loi sur le lépreux, pour le jour de sa purification. On l`amènera devant le sacrificateur. |
| And the priest is to go outside the tent-circle; and if, after looking, the priest sees that the mark of the disease has gone from him, | Le sacrificateur sortira du camp, et il examinera le lépreux. Si le lépreux est guéri de la plaie de la lèpre, |
| Then the priest is to give orders to take, for him who is to be made clean, two living clean birds and some cedar wood and red thread and hyssop. | le sacrificateur ordonnera que l`on prenne, pour celui qui doit être purifié, deux oiseaux vivants et purs, du bois de cèdre, du cramoisi et de l`hysope. |
| And the priest will give orders for one of the birds to be put to death in a vessel made of earth, over flowing water. | Le sacrificateur ordonnera qu`on égorge l`un des oiseaux sur un vase de terre, sur de l`eau vive. |
| And he will take the living bird and the wood and the red thread and the hyssop and put them in the blood of the bird which was put to death over flowing water. | Il prendra l`oiseau vivant, le bois de cèdre, le cramoisi et l`hysope; et il les trempera, avec l`oiseau vivant, dans le sang de l`oiseau égorgé sur l`eau vive. |
| And shaking it seven times over the man who is to be made clean, he will say that he is clean and will let the living bird go free into the open country. | Il en fera sept fois l`aspersion sur celui qui doit être purifié de la lèpre. Puis il le déclarera pur, et il lâchera dans les champs l`oiseau vivant. |
| And he who is to be made clean will have his clothing washed and his hair cut and have a bath, and he will be clean. And after that he will come back to the tent-circle; but he is to keep outside his tent for seven days. | Celui qui se purifie lavera ses vêtements, rasera tout son poil, et se baignera dans l`eau; et il sera pur. Ensuite il pourra entrer dans le camp, mais il restera sept jours hors de sa tente. |
| And on the seventh day he is to have all the hair cut off his head and his chin and over his eyes--all his hair is to be cut off--and he will have his clothing washed and his body bathed in water and he will be clean. | Le septième jour, il rasera tout son poil, sa tête, sa barbe, ses sourcils, il rasera tout son poil; il lavera ses vêtements, et baignera son corps dans l`eau, et il sera pur. |
| And on the eighth day let him take two male lambs, without any marks on them, and one female lamb of the first year, without a mark, and three tenth parts of an ephah of the best meal, mixed with oil, and one log of oil. | Le huitième jour, il prendra deux agneaux sans défaut et une brebis d`un an sans défaut, trois dixièmes d`un épha de fleur de farine en offrande pétrie à l`huile, et un log d`huile. |
| And the priest who is making him clean will put the man who is being made clean, together with these things, before the door of the Tent of meeting. | Le sacrificateur qui fait la purification présentera l`homme qui se purifie et toutes ces choses devant l`Éternel, à l`entrée de la tente d`assignation. |
| And the priest is to take one of the male lambs and give it as an offering for wrongdoing, and the log of oil, waving them for a wave offering before the Lord; | Le sacrificateur prendra l`un des agneaux, et il l`offrira en sacrifice de culpabilité, avec le log d`huile; il les agitera de côté et d`autre devant l`Éternel. |
| And he is to put the male lamb to death in the place where they put to death the sin-offering and the burned offering, in the holy place; for as the sin-offering is the property of the priest, so is the offering for wrongdoing: it is most holy. | Il égorgera l`agneau dans le lieu où l`on égorge les victimes expiatoires et les holocaustes, dans le lieu saint; car, dans le sacrifice de culpabilité, comme dans le sacrifice d`expiation, la victime est pour le sacrificateur; c`est une chose très sainte. |
| And let the priest take some of the blood of the offering for wrongdoing and put it on the point of the right ear of him who is to be made clean, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the great toe of his right foot; | Le sacrificateur prendra du sang de la victime de culpabilité; il en mettra sur le lobe de l`oreille droite de celui qui se purifie, sur le pouce de sa main droite et sur le gros orteil de son pied droit. |
| And take some of the oil and put it in the hollow of his left hand; | Le sacrificateur prendra du log d`huile, et il en versera dans le creux de sa main gauche. |
| And let the priest put his right finger in the oil which is in his left hand, shaking it out with his finger seven times before the Lord; | Le sacrificateur trempera le doigt de sa main droite dans l`huile qui est dans le creux de sa main gauche, et il fera avec le doigt sept fois l`aspersion de l`huile devant l`Éternel. |
| And of the rest of the oil which is in his hand, the priest will put some on the point of the right ear of the man who is to be made clean, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the great toe of his right foot, over the blood of the offering for wrongdoing; | Le sacrificateur mettra de l`huile qui lui reste dans la main sur le lobe de l`oreille droite de celui qui se purifie, sur le pouce de sa main droite et sur le gros orteil de son pied droit, par-dessus le sang de la victime de culpabilité. |
| And the rest of the oil in the priest's hand he will put on the head of him who is to be made clean; and so the priest will make him free from sin before the Lord. | Le sacrificateur mettra ce qui lui reste d`huile dans la main sur la tête de celui qui se purifie; et le sacrificateur fera pour lui l`expiation devant l`Éternel. |
| And the priest will give the sin-offering, and take away the sin of him who is to be made clean from his unclean condition; and after that he will put the burned offering to death. | Puis le sacrificateur offrira le sacrifice d`expiation; et il fera l`expiation pour celui qui se purifie de sa souillure. |
| And the priest is to have the burned offering and the meal offering burned on the altar; and the priest will take away his sin and he will be clean. | Ensuite il égorgera l`holocauste. Le sacrificateur offrira sur l`autel l`holocauste et l`offrande; et il fera pour cet homme l`expiation, et il sera pur. |
| And if he is poor and not able to get so much, then he may take one male lamb as an offering for wrongdoing, to be waved to take away his sin, and one tenth part of an ephah of the best meal mixed with oil for a meal offering, and a log of oil; | S`il est pauvre et que ses ressources soient insuffisantes, il prendra un seul agneau, qui sera offert en sacrifice de culpabilité, après avoir été agité de côté et d`autre, et avec lequel on fera pour lui l`expiation. Il prendra un seul dixième de fleur de farine pétrie à l`huile pour l`offrande, et un log d`huile. |
| And two doves or two young pigeons, such as he is able to get; and one will be for a sin-offering and the other for a burned offering. | Il prendra aussi deux tourterelles ou deux jeunes pigeons, selon ses ressources, l`un pour le sacrifice d`expiation, l`autre pour l`holocauste. |
| And on the eighth day he will take them to the priest, to the door of the Tent of meeting before the Lord, so that he may be made clean. | Le huitième jour, il apportera pour sa purification toutes ces choses au sacrificateur, à l`entrée de la tente d`assignation, devant l`Éternel. |
| And the priest will take the lamb of the offering for wrongdoing and the oil, waving them for a wave offering before the Lord; | Le sacrificateur prendra l`agneau pour le sacrifice de culpabilité, et le log d`huile; et il les agitera de côté et d`autre devant l`Éternel. |
| And he will put to death the lamb of the offering for wrongdoing and the priest will take some of the blood of the offering for wrongdoing and put it on the point of the right ear of him who is to be made clean, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the great toe of his right foot; | Il égorgera l`agneau du sacrifice de culpabilité. Le sacrificateur prendra du sang de la victime de culpabilité; il en mettra sur le lobe de l`oreille droite de celui qui se purifie, sur le pouce de sa main droite et sur le gros orteil de son pied droit. |
| And the priest will put out some of the oil in the hollow of his left hand, | Le sacrificateur versera de l`huile dans le creux de sa main gauche. |
| Shaking out drops of oil with his right finger before the Lord seven times: | Le sacrificateur fera avec le doigt de sa main droite sept fois l`aspersion de l`huile qui est dans sa main gauche, devant l`Éternel. |
| And the priest will put some of the oil which is in his hand on the point of the ear of the man who is to be made clean and on the thumb of his right hand and on the great toe of his right foot, on the place where the blood of the offering for wrongdoing was put; | Le sacrificateur mettra de l`huile qui est dans sa main sur le lobe de l`oreille droite de celui qui se purifie, sur le pouce de sa main droite et sur le gros orteil de son pied droit, à la place où il a mis du sang de la victime de culpabilité. |
| And the rest of the oil which is in the priest's hand he will put on the head of him who is to be made clean, to take away his sin before the Lord. | Le sacrificateur mettra ce qui lui reste d`huile dans la main sur la tête de celui qui se purifie, afin de faire pour lui l`expiation devant l`Éternel. |
| And he will make an offering of one of the doves or the young pigeons, such as he is able to get; | Puis il offrira l`une des tourterelles ou l`un des jeunes pigeons qu`il a pu se procurer, |
| And of these, he will give one for a sin-offering and one for a burned offering, with the meal offering; and the priest will take away the sin of him who is to be made clean before the Lord. | l`un en sacrifice d`expiation, l`autre en holocauste, avec l`offrande; et le sacrificateur fera pour celui qui se purifie l`expiation devant l`Éternel. |
| This is the law for the man who has the disease of the leper on him, and who is not able to get that which is necessary for making himself clean. | Telle est la loi pour la purification de celui qui a une plaie de lèpre, et dont les ressources sont insuffisantes. |
| And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, | L`Éternel parla à Moïse et à Aaron, et dit: |
| When you have come into the land of Canaan which I will give you for your heritage, if I put the leper's disease on a house in the land of your heritage, | Lorsque vous serez entrés dans le pays de Canaan, dont je vous donne la possession; si je mets une plaie de lèpre sur une maison du pays que vous posséderez, |
| Then let the owner of the house come and say to the priest, It seems to me that there is a sort of leper's disease in the house. | celui à qui appartiendra la maison ira le déclarer au sacrificateur, et dira: J`aperçois comme une plaie dans ma maison. |
| And the priest will give orders for everything to be taken out of the house, before he goes in to see the disease, so that the things in the house may not become unclean; and then the priest is to go in to see the house; | Le sacrificateur, avant d`y entrer pour examiner la plaie, ordonnera qu`on vide la maison, afin que tout ce qui y est ne devienne pas impur. Après cela, le sacrificateur entrera pour examiner la maison. |
| And if he sees that the walls of the house are marked with hollows of green and red, and if it seems to go deeper than the face of the wall; | Le sacrificateur examinera la plaie. S`il voit qu`elle offre sur les murs de la maison des cavités verdâtres ou rougeâtres, paraissant plus enfoncées que le mur, |
| Then the priest will go out of the door of the house, and keep the house shut up for seven days: | il sortira de la maison, et, quand il sera à la porte, il fera fermer la maison pour sept jours. |
| And the priest is to come again on the seventh day and have a look and see if the marks on the walls of the house are increased in size; | Le sacrificateur y retournera le septième jour. S`il voit que la plaie s`est étendue sur les murs de la maison, |
| Then the priest will give orders to them to take out the stones in which the disease is seen, and put them out into an unclean place outside the town: | il ordonnera qu`on ôte les pierres attaquées de la plaie, et qu`on les jette hors de la ville, dans un lieu impur. |
| And he will have the house rubbed all over inside, and the paste which is rubbed off will be put out into an unclean place outside the town: | Il fera râcler tout l`intérieur de la maison; et l`on jettera hors de la ville, dans un lieu impur, la poussière qu`on aura râclée. |
| And they will take other stones and put them in place of those stones, and he will take other paste and put it on the walls of the house. | On prendra d`autres pierres, que l`on mettra à la place des premières; et l`on prendra d`autre mortier, pour recrépir la maison. |
| And if the disease comes out again in the house after he has taken out the stones and after the walls have been rubbed and the new paste put on, | Si la plaie revient et fait éruption dans la maison, après qu`on a ôté les pierres, râclé et recrépi la maison, |
| Then the priest will come and see it; and if the disease in the house is increased in size, it is the leper's disease working out in the house: it is unclean. | le sacrificateur y retournera. S`il voit que la plaie s`est étendue dans la maison, c`est une lèpre invétérée dans la maison: elle est impure. |
| And the house will have to be pulled down, the stones of it and the wood and the paste; and everything is to be taken out to an unclean place outside the town. | On abattra la maison, les pierres, le bois, et tout le mortier de la maison; et l`on portera ces choses hors de la ville dans un lieu impur. |
| And, in addition, anyone who goes into the house at any time, while it is shut up, will be unclean till evening. | Celui qui sera entré dans la maison pendant tout le temps qu`elle était fermée sera impur jusqu`au soir. |
| And anyone who has been sleeping in the house will have to have his clothing washed; and anyone who takes food in that house will have to have his clothing washed. | Celui qui aura couché dans la maison lavera ses vêtements. Celui qui aura mangé dans la maison lavera aussi ses vêtements. |
| And if the priest comes in, and sees that the disease is not increased after the new paste has been put on the house, then the priest will say that the house is clean, because the disease is gone. | Si le sacrificateur, qui est retourné dans la maison, voit que la plaie ne s`est pas étendue, après que la maison a été recrépie, il déclarera la maison pure, car la plaie est guérie. |
| And in order to make the house clean, let him take two birds and cedar-wood and red thread and hyssop; | Il prendra, pour purifier la maison, deux oiseaux, du bois de cèdre, du cramoisi et de l`hysope. |
| And put one of the birds to death in a vessel of earth over flowing water; | Il égorgera l`un des oiseaux sur un vase de terre, sur de l`eau vive. |
| And take the cedar-wood and the hyssop and the red thread and the living bird and put them in the blood of the dead bird and in the flowing water, shaking it over the house seven times. | Il prendra le bois de cèdre, l`hysope, le cramoisi et l`oiseau vivant; il les trempera dans le sang de l`oiseau égorgé et dans l`eau vive, et il en fera sept fois l`aspersion sur la maison. |
| And he will make the house clean with the blood of the bird and the flowing water and with the living bird and with the cedar-wood and the hyssop and the red thread. | Il purifiera la maison avec le sang de l`oiseau, avec de l`eau vive, avec l`oiseau vivant, avec le bois de cèdre, l`hysope et le cramoisi. |
| But he will let the living bird go out of the town into the open country; so he will take away sin from the house and it will be clean. | Il lâchera l`oiseau vivant hors de la ville, dans les champs. C`est ainsi qu`il fera pour la maison l`expiation, et elle sera pure. |
| This is the law for all signs of the leper's disease and for skin diseases; | Telle est la loi pour toute plaie de lèpre et pour la teigne, |
| And for signs of disease in clothing, or in a house; | pour la lèpre des vêtements et des maisons, |
| And for a growth or a bad place or a bright mark on the skin; | pour les tumeurs, les dartres et les taches: |
| To make clear when it is unclean and when it is clean: this is the law about the disease of the leper. | elle enseigne quand une chose est impure, et quand elle est pure. Telle est la loi sur la lèpre. |
