Lamentations 5:1 Keep in mind, O Lord, what has come to us: take note and see our shame.	Lamentations 5:1 Souviens-toi, Éternel, de ce qui nous est arrivé! Regarde, vois notre opprobre!
Lamentations 5:2 Our heritage is given up to men of strange lands, our houses to those who are not our countrymen.	Lamentations 5:2 Notre héritage a passé à des étrangers, Nos maisons à des inconnus.
Lamentations 5:3 We are children without fathers, our mothers are like widows.	Lamentations 5:3 Nous sommes orphelins, sans père; Nos mères sont comme des veuves.
Lamentations 5:4 We give money for a drink of water, we get our wood for a price.	Lamentations 5:4 Nous buvons notre eau à prix d`argent, Nous payons notre bois.
Lamentations 5:5 Our attackers are on our necks: overcome with weariness, we have no rest.	Lamentations 5:5 Nous sommes poursuivis, le joug sur le cou; Nous sommes épuisés, nous n`avons point de repos.
Lamentations 5:6 We have given our hands to the Egyptians and to the Assyrians so that we might have enough bread.	Lamentations 5:6 Nous avons tendu la main vers l`Égypte, vers l`Assyrie, Pour nous rassasier de pain.
Lamentations 5:7 Our fathers were sinners and are dead; and the weight of their evil-doing is on us.	Lamentations 5:7 Nos pères ont péché, ils ne sont plus, Et c`est nous qui portons la peine de leurs iniquités.
Lamentations 5:8 Servants are ruling over us, and there is no one to make us free from their hands.	Lamentations 5:8 Des esclaves dominent sur nous, Et personne ne nous délivre de leurs mains.
Lamentations 5:9 We put our lives in danger to get our bread, because of the sword of the waste land.	Lamentations 5:9 Nous cherchons notre pain au péril de notre vie, Devant l`épée du désert.
Lamentations 5:10 Our skin is heated like an oven because of our burning heat from need of food.	Lamentations 5:10 Notre peau est brûlante comme un four, Par l`ardeur de la faim.
Lamentations 5:11 They took by force the women in Zion, the virgins in the towns of Judah.	Lamentations 5:11 Ils ont déshonoré les femmes dans Sion, Les vierges dans les villes de Juda.
Lamentations 5:12 Their hands put princes to death by hanging: the faces of old men were not honoured.	Lamentations 5:12 Des chefs ont été pendus par leurs mains; La personne des vieillards n`a pas été respectée.
Lamentations 5:13 The young men were crushing the grain, and the boys were falling under the wood.	Lamentations 5:13 Les jeunes hommes ont porté la meule, Les enfants chancelaient sous des fardeaux de bois.
Lamentations 5:14 The old men are no longer seated in the doorway, and the music of the young men has come to an end.	Lamentations 5:14 Les vieillards ne vont plus à la porte, Les jeunes hommes ont cessé leurs chants.
Lamentations 5:15 The joy of our hearts is ended; our dancing is changed into sorrow.	Lamentations 5:15 La joie a disparu de nos coeurs, Le deuil a remplacé nos danses.
Lamentations 5:16 The crown has been taken from our head: sorrow is ours, for we are sinners.	Lamentations 5:16 La couronne de notre tête est tombée! Malheur à nous, parce que nous avons péché!
Lamentations 5:17 Because of this our hearts are feeble; for these things our eyes are dark;	Lamentations 5:17 Si notre coeur est souffrant, Si nos yeux sont obscurcis,
Lamentations 5:18 Because of the mountain of Zion which is a waste; jackals go over it.	Lamentations 5:18 C`est que la montagne de Sion est ravagée, C`est que les renards s`y promènent.
Lamentations 5:19 You, O Lord, are seated as King for ever; the seat of your power is eternal.	Lamentations 5:19 Toi, l`Éternel, tu règnes à jamais; Ton trône subsiste de génération en génération.
Lamentations 5:20 Why have we gone from your memory for ever? why have you been turned away from us for so long?	Lamentations 5:20 Pourquoi nous oublierais-tu pour toujours, Nous abandonnerais-tu pour de longues années?
Lamentations 5:21 Make us come back to you, O Lord, and let us be turned; make our days new again as in the past.	Lamentations 5:21 Fais-nous revenir vers toi, ô Éternel, et nous reviendrons! Donne-nous encore des jours comme ceux d`autrefois!
Lamentations 5:22 But you have quite given us up; you are full of wrath against us.	Lamentations 5:22 Nous aurais-tu entièrement rejetés, Et t`irriterais-tu contre nous jusqu`à l`excès!
