Jeremiah 47:1 The word of the Lord which came to Jeremiah the prophet about the Philistines, before Pharaoh's attack on Gaza.	Jérémie 47:1 La parole de l`Éternel qui fut adressée à Jérémie, le prophète, sur les Philistins, avant que Pharaon frappât Gaza.
Jeremiah 47:2 This is what the Lord has said: See, waters are coming up out of the north, and will become an overflowing stream, overflowing the land and everything in it, the town and those who are living in it; and men will give a cry, and all the people of the land will be crying out in pain.	Jérémie 47:2 Ainsi parle l`Éternel: Voici, des eaux s`élèvent du septentrion, Elles sont comme un torrent qui déborde; Elles inondent le pays et ce qu`il contient, Les villes et leurs habitants. Les hommes poussent des cris, Tous les habitants du pays se lamentent,
Jeremiah 47:3 At the noise of the stamping of the feet of his war-horses, at the rushing of his carriages and the thunder of his wheels, fathers will give no thought to their children, because their hands are feeble;	Jérémie 47:3 A cause du retentissement des sabots de ses puissants chevaux, Du bruit de ses chars et du fracas des roues; Les pères ne se tournent pas vers leurs enfants, Tant les mains sont affaiblies,
Jeremiah 47:4 Because of the day which is coming with destruction on all the Philistines, cutting off from Tyre and Zidon the last of their helpers: for the Lord will send destruction on the Philistines, the rest of the sea-land of Caphtor.	Jérémie 47:4 Parce que le jour arrive où seront détruits tous les Philistins, Exterminés tous ceux qui servaient encore d`auxiliaires à Tyr et à Sidon; Car l`Éternel va détruire les Philistins, Les restes de l`île de Caphtor.
Jeremiah 47:5 The hair is cut off from the head of Gaza; Ashkelon has come to nothing; the last of the Anakim are deeply wounding themselves.	Jérémie 47:5 Gaza est devenue chauve, Askalon est dans le silence, le reste de leur plaine aussi. Jusques à quand te feras-tu des incisions? -
Jeremiah 47:6 O sword of the Lord, how long will you have no rest? put yourself back into your cover; be at peace, be quiet.	Jérémie 47:6 Ah! épée de l`Éternel, quand te reposeras-tu? Rentre dans ton fourreau, Arrête, et sois tranquille! -
Jeremiah 47:7 How is it possible for it to be quiet, seeing that the Lord has given it orders? against Ashkelon and against the sea-land he has given it directions.	Jérémie 47:7 Comment te reposerais-tu? L`Éternel lui donne ses ordres, C`est contre Askalon et la côte de la mer qu`il la dirige.
