Jeremiah 31:1 At that time, says the Lord, I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be my people.	Jérémie 31:1 En ce temps-là, dit l`Éternel, Je serai le Dieu de toutes les familles d`Israël, Et ils seront mon peuple.
Jeremiah 31:2 The Lord has said, Grace came in the waste land to a people kept safe from the sword, even to Israel on the way to his resting-place.	Jérémie 31:2 Ainsi parle l`Éternel: Il a trouvé grâce dans le désert, Le peuple de ceux qui ont échappé au glaive; Israël marche vers son lieu de repos.
Jeremiah 31:3 From far away he saw the Lord: my love for you is an eternal love: so with mercy I have made you come with me.	Jérémie 31:3 De loin l`Éternel se montre à moi: Je t`aime d`un amour éternel; C`est pourquoi je te conserve ma bonté.
Jeremiah 31:4 I will again make new your buildings, O virgin of Israel, and you will take up your place: again you will take up your instruments of music, and go out in the dances of those who are glad.	Jérémie 31:4 Je te rétablirai encore, et tu seras rétablie, Vierge d`Israël! Tu auras encore tes tambourins pour parure, Et tu sortiras au milieu des danses joyeuses.
Jeremiah 31:5 Again will your vine-gardens be planted on the hill of Samaria: the planters will be planting and using the fruit.	Jérémie 31:5 Tu planteras encore des vignes sur les montagnes de Samarie; Les planteurs planteront, et cueilleront les fruits.
Jeremiah 31:6 For there will be a day when those who get in the grapes on the hills of Ephraim will be crying, Up! let us go up to Zion to the Lord our God.	Jérémie 31:6 Car le jour vient où les gardes crieront sur la montagne d`Éphraïm:
Jeremiah 31:7 For the Lord has said, Make a glad song for Jacob and give a cry on the top of the mountains: give the news, give praise, and say, The Lord has given salvation to his people, even to the rest of Israel.	Jérémie 31:7 Levez-vous, montons à Sion, vers l`Éternel, notre Dieu! Car ainsi parle l`Éternel: Poussez des cris de joie sur Jacob, Éclatez d`allégresse à la tête des nations! Élevez vos voix, chantez des louanges, et dites: Éternel, délivre ton peuple, le reste d`Israël!
Jeremiah 31:8 See, I will take them from the north country, and get them from the inmost parts of the earth, and with them the blind and the feeble-footed, the woman with child and her who is in birth-pains together: a very great army, they will come back here.	Jérémie 31:8 Voici, je les ramène du pays du septentrion, Je les rassemble des extrémités de la terre; Parmi eux sont l`aveugle et le boiteux, La femme enceinte et celle en travail; C`est une grande multitude, qui revient ici.
Jeremiah 31:9 They will come with weeping, and going before them I will be their guide: guiding them by streams of water in a straight way where there is no falling: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is the first of my sons.	Jérémie 31:9 Ils viennent en pleurant, et je les conduis au milieu de leurs supplications; Je les mène vers des torrents d`eau, Par un chemin uni où ils ne chancellent pas; Car je suis un père pour Israël, Et Éphraïm est mon premier-né.
Jeremiah 31:10 Give ear to the word of the Lord, O you nations, and give news of it in the sea-lands far away, and say, He who has sent Israel wandering will get him together and will keep him as a keeper does his flock.	Jérémie 31:10 Nations, écoutez la parole de l`Éternel, Et publiez-la dans les îles lointaines! Dites: Celui qui a dispersé Israël le rassemblera, Et il le gardera comme le berger garde son troupeau.
Jeremiah 31:11 For the Lord has given a price for Jacob, and made him free from the hands of him who was stronger than he.	Jérémie 31:11 Car l`Éternel rachète Jacob, Il le délivre de la main d`un plus fort que lui.
Jeremiah 31:12 So they will come with songs on the high places, flowing together to the good things of the Lord, to the grain and the wine and the oil, to the young ones of the flock and of the herd: their souls will be like a watered garden, and they will have no more sorrow.	Jérémie 31:12 Ils viendront, et pousseront des cris de joie sur les hauteurs de Sion; Ils accourront vers les biens de l`Éternel, Le blé, le moût, l`huile, Les brebis et les boeufs; Leur âne sera comme un jardin arrosé, Et ils ne seront plus dans la souffrance.
Jeremiah 31:13 Then the virgin will have joy in the dance, and the young men and the old will be glad: for I will have their weeping turned into joy, I will give them comfort and make them glad after their sorrow.	Jérémie 31:13 Alors les jeunes filles se réjouiront à la danse, Les jeunes hommes et les vieillards se réjouiront aussi; Je changerai leur deuil en allégresse, et je les consolerai; Je leur donnerai de la joie après leurs chagrins.
Jeremiah 31:14 I will give the priests their desired fat things, and my people will have a full measure of my good things, says the Lord.	Jérémie 31:14 Je rassasierai de graisse l`âme des sacrificateurs, Et mon peuple se rassasiera de mes biens, dit l`Éternel.
Jeremiah 31:15 So has the Lord said: In Ramah there is a sound of crying, weeping and bitter sorrow; Rachel weeping for her children; she will not be comforted for their loss.	Jérémie 31:15 Ainsi parle l`Éternel: On entend des cris à Rama, Des lamentations, des larmes amères; Rachel pleure ses enfants; Elle refuse d`être consolée sur ses enfants, Car ils ne sont plus.
Jeremiah 31:16 The Lord has said this: Keep your voice from sorrow and your eyes from weeping: for your work will be rewarded, says the Lord; and they will come back from the land of their hater.	Jérémie 31:16 Ainsi parle l`Éternel: Retiens tes pleurs, Retiens les larmes de tes yeux; Car il y aura un salaire pour tes oeuvres, dit l`Éternel; Ils reviendront du pays de l`ennemi.
Jeremiah 31:17 And there is hope for the future, says the Lord; and your children will come back to the land which is theirs.	Jérémie 31:17 Il y a de l`espérance pour ton avenir, dit l`Éternel; Tes enfants reviendront dans leur territoire.
Jeremiah 31:18 Certainly Ephraim's words of grief have come to my ears, You have given me training and I have undergone it like a young cow unused to the yoke: let me be turned and come back, for you are the Lord my God.	Jérémie 31:18 J`entends Éphraïm qui se lamente: Tu m`as châtié, et j`ai été châtié Comme un veau qui n`est pas dompté; Fais-moi revenir, et je reviendrai, Car tu es l`Éternel, mon Dieu.
Jeremiah 31:19 Truly, after I had been turned, I had regret for my ways; and after I had got knowledge, I made signs of sorrow: I was put to shame, truly, I was covered with shame, because I had to undergo the shame of my early years.	Jérémie 31:19 Après m`être détourné, j`éprouve du repentir; Et après avoir reconnu mes fautes, je frappe sur ma cuisse; Je suis honteux et confus, Car je porte l`opprobre de ma jeunesse. -
Jeremiah 31:20 Is Ephraim my dear son? is he the child of my delight? for whenever I say things against him, I still keep him in my memory: so my heart is troubled for him; I will certainly have mercy on him, says the Lord.	Jérémie 31:20 Éphraïm est-il donc pour moi un fils chéri, Un enfant qui fait mes délices? Car plus je parle de lui, plus encore son souvenir est en moi; Aussi mes entrailles sont émues en sa faveur: J`aurai pitié de lui, dit l`Éternel. -
Jeremiah 31:21 Put up guiding pillars, make road signs for yourself: give attention to the highway, even the way in which you went: be turned again, O virgin of Israel, be turned to these your towns.	Jérémie 31:21 Dresse des signes, place des poteaux, Prends garde à la route, au chemin que tu as suivi... Reviens, vierge d`Israël, Reviens dans ces villes qui sont à toi!
Jeremiah 31:22 How long will you go on turning this way and that, O wandering daughter? for the Lord has made a new thing on the earth, a woman changed into a man.	Jérémie 31:22 Jusques à quand seras-tu errante, Fille égarée? Car l`Éternel crée une chose nouvelle sur la terre: La femme recherchera l`homme.
Jeremiah 31:23 So the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said, Again will these words be used in the land of Judah and in its towns, when I have let their fate be changed: May the blessing of the Lord be on you, O resting-place of righteousness, O holy mountain.	Jérémie 31:23 Ainsi parle l`Éternel des armées, le Dieu d`Israël: Voici encore ce que l`on dira dans le pays de Juda et dans ses villes, Quand j`aurai ramené leurs captifs: Que l`Éternel te bénisse, demeure de la justice, Montagne sainte!
Jeremiah 31:24 And Judah and all its towns will be living there together; the farmers and those who go about with flocks.	Jérémie 31:24 Là s`établiront Juda et toutes ses villes, Les laboureurs et ceux qui conduisent les troupeaux.
Jeremiah 31:25 For I have given new strength to the tired soul and to every sorrowing soul in full measure.	Jérémie 31:25 Car je rafraîchirai l`âme altérée, Et je rassasierai toute âme languissante.
Jeremiah 31:26 At this, awaking from my sleep, I saw; and my sleep was sweet to me.	Jérémie 31:26 Là-dessus je me suis réveillé, et j`ai regardé; Mon sommeil m`avait été agréable.
Jeremiah 31:27 See, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will have Israel and Judah planted with the seed of man and with the seed of beast.	Jérémie 31:27 Voici, les jours viennent, dit l`Éternel, Où j`ensemencerai la maison d`Israël et la maison de Juda D`une semence d`hommes et d`une semence de bêtes.
Jeremiah 31:28 And it will come about that, as I have been watching over them for the purpose of uprooting and smashing down and overturning and sending destruction and causing trouble; so I will be watching over them for the purpose of building up and planting, says the Lord.	Jérémie 31:28 Et comme j`ai veillé sur eux Pour arracher, abattre, détruire, ruiner et faire du mal, Ainsi je veillerai sur eux pour bâtir et pour planter, Dit l`Éternel.
Jeremiah 31:29 In those days they will no longer say, The fathers have been tasting bitter grapes and the children's teeth are put on edge.	Jérémie 31:29 En ces jours-là, on ne dira plus: Les pères ont mangé des raisins verts, Et les dents des enfants en ont été agacées.
Jeremiah 31:30 But everyone will be put to death for the evil which he himself has done: whoever has taken bitter grapes will himself have his teeth put on edge.	Jérémie 31:30 Mais chacun mourra pour sa propre iniquité; Tout homme qui mangera des raisins verts, Ses dents en seront agacées.
Jeremiah 31:31 See, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new agreement with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah:	Jérémie 31:31 Voici, les jours viennent, dit l`Éternel, Où je ferai avec la maison d`Israël et la maison de Juda Une alliance nouvelle,
Jeremiah 31:32 Not like the agreement which I made with their fathers, on the day when I took them by the hand to be their guide out of the land of Egypt; which agreement was broken by them, and I gave them up, says the Lord.	Jérémie 31:32 Non comme l`alliance que je traitai avec leurs pères, Le jour où je les saisis par la main Pour les faire sortir du pays d`Égypte, Alliance qu`ils ont violée, Quoique je fusse leur maître, dit l`Éternel.
Jeremiah 31:33 But this is the agreement which I will make with the people of Israel after those days, says the Lord; I will put my law in their inner parts, writing it in their hearts; and I will be their God, and they will be my people.	Jérémie 31:33 Mais voici l`alliance que je ferai avec la maison d`Israël, Après ces jours-là, dit l`Éternel: Je mettrai ma loi au dedans d`eux, Je l`écrirai dans leur coeur; Et je serai leur Dieu, Et ils seront mon peuple.
Jeremiah 31:34 And no longer will they be teaching every man his neighbour and every man his brother, saying, Get knowledge of the Lord: for they will all have knowledge of me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord: for they will have my forgiveness for their evil-doing, and their sin will go from my memory for ever.	Jérémie 31:34 Celui-ci n`enseignera plus son prochain, Ni celui-là son frère, en disant: Connaissez l`Éternel! Car tous me connaîtront, Depuis le plus petit jusqu`au plus grand, dit l`Éternel; Car je pardonnerai leur iniquité, Et je ne me souviendrai plus de leur péché.
Jeremiah 31:35 These are the words of the Lord, who has given the sun for a light by day, ordering the moon and stars for a light by night, who puts the sea in motion, causing the thunder of its waves; the Lord of armies is his name.	Jérémie 31:35 Ainsi parle l`Éternel, qui a fait le soleil pour éclairer le jour, Qui a destiné la lune et les étoiles à éclairer la nuit, Qui soulève la mer et fait mugir ses flots, Lui dont le nom est l`Éternel des armées:
Jeremiah 31:36 If the order of these things before me is ever broken, says the Lord, then will the seed of Israel come to an end as a nation before me for ever.	Jérémie 31:36 Si ces lois viennent à cesser devant moi, dit l`Éternel, La race d`Israël aussi cessera pour toujours d`être une nation devant moi.
Jeremiah 31:37 This is what the Lord has said: If the heavens on high may be measured, and the bases of the earth searched out, then I will give up the seed of Israel, because of all they have done, says the Lord.	Jérémie 31:37 Ainsi parle l`Éternel: Si les cieux en haut peuvent être mesurés, Si les fondements de la terre en bas peuvent être sondés, Alors je rejetterai toute la race d`Israël, A cause de tout ce qu`ils ont fait, dit l`Éternel.
Jeremiah 31:38 See, the days are coming, says the Lord, for the building of the Lord's town, from the tower of Hananel to the doorway of the angle.	Jérémie 31:38 Voici, les jours viennent, dit l`Éternel, Où la ville sera rebâtie à l`honneur de l`Éternel, Depuis la tour de Hananeel jusqu`à la porte de l`angle.
Jeremiah 31:39 And the measuring-line will go out in front of it as far as the hill Gareb, going round to Goah.	Jérémie 31:39 Le cordeau s`étendra encore vis-à-vis, Jusqu`à la colline de Gareb, Et fera un circuit du côté de Goath.
Jeremiah 31:40 And all the valley of the dead bodies, and all the field of death as far as the stream Kidron, up to the angle of the horses' doorway to the east, will be holy to the Lord; it will not again be uprooted or overturned for ever.	Jérémie 31:40 Toute la vallée des cadavres et de la cendre, Et tous les champs jusqu`au torrent de Cédron, Jusqu`à l`angle de la porte des chevaux à l`orient, Seront consacrés à l`Éternel, Et ne seront plus à jamais ni renversés ni détruits.
