箴言 3
|
| My son, keep my teaching in your memory, and my rules in your heart: | 我 兒 、 不 要 忘 記 我 的 法 則 ． 〔 或 作 指 教 〕 你 心 要 謹 守 我 的 誡 命 ． |
| For they will give you increase of days, years of life, and peace. | 因 為 他 必 將 長 久 的 日 子 、 生 命 的 年 數 、 與 平 安 、 加 給 你 。 |
| Let not mercy and good faith go from you; let them be hanging round your neck, recorded on your heart; | 不 可 使 慈 愛 誠 實 離 開 你 ． 要 繫 在 你 頸 項 上 、 刻 在 你 心 版 上 ． |
| So you will have grace and a good name in the eyes of God and men. | 這 樣 、 你 必 在 神 和 世 人 眼 前 蒙 恩 寵 、 有 聰 明 。 |
| Put all your hope in God, not looking to your reason for support. | 你 要 專 心 仰 賴 耶 和 華 、 不 可 倚 靠 自 己 的 聰 明 ． |
| In all your ways give ear to him, and he will make straight your footsteps. | 在 你 一 切 所 行 的 事 上 、 都 要 認 定 他 、 他 必 指 引 你 的 路 。 |
| Put no high value on your wisdom: let the fear of the Lord be before you, and keep yourself from evil: | 不 要 自 以 為 有 智 慧 ． 要 敬 畏 耶 和 華 、 遠 離 惡 事 ． |
| This will give strength to your flesh, and new life to your bones. | 這 便 醫 治 你 的 肚 臍 、 滋 潤 你 的 百 骨 。 |
| Give honour to the Lord with your wealth, and with the first-fruits of all your increase: | 你 要 以 財 物 和 一 切 初 熟 的 土 產 、 尊 榮 耶 和 華 ． |
| So your store-houses will be full of grain, and your vessels overflowing with new wine. | 這 樣 、 你 的 倉 房 、 必 充 滿 有 餘 、 你 的 酒 醡 、 有 新 酒 盈 溢 。 |
| My son, do not make your heart hard against the Lord's teaching; do not be made angry by his training: | 我 兒 、 你 不 可 輕 看 耶 和 華 的 管 教 〔 或 作 懲 治 〕 、 也 不 可 厭 煩 他 的 責 備 ． |
| For to those who are dear to him the Lord says sharp words, and makes the son in whom he has delight undergo pain. | 因 為 耶 和 華 所 愛 的 、 他 必 責 備 ． 正 如 父 親 責 備 所 喜 愛 的 兒 子 。 |
| Happy is the man who makes discovery of wisdom, and he who gets knowledge. | 得 智 慧 、 得 聰 明 的 、 這 人 便 為 有 福 。 |
| For trading in it is better than trading in silver, and its profit greater than bright gold. | 因 為 得 智 慧 勝 過 得 銀 子 、 其 利 益 強 如 精 金 ． |
| She is of more value than jewels, and nothing for which you may have a desire is fair in comparison with her. | 比 珍 珠 〔 或 作 紅 寶 石 〕 寶 貴 ． 你 一 切 所 喜 愛 的 、 都 不 足 與 比 較 。 |
| Long life is in her right hand, and in her left are wealth and honour. | 他 右 手 有 長 壽 ． 左 手 有 富 貴 。 |
| Her ways are ways of delight, and all her goings are peace. | 他 的 道 是 安 樂 、 他 的 路 全 是 平 安 。 |
| She is a tree of life to all who take her in their hands, and happy is everyone who keeps her. | 他 與 持 守 他 的 作 生 命 樹 ． 持 定 他 的 俱 各 有 福 。 |
| The Lord by wisdom put in position the bases of the earth; by reason he put the heavens in their place. | 耶 和 華 以 智 慧 立 地 ． 以 聰 明 定 天 ． |
| By his knowledge the deep was parted, and dew came dropping from the skies. | 以 知 識 使 深 淵 裂 開 、 使 天 空 滴 下 甘 露 。 |
| My son, keep good sense, and do not let wise purpose go from your eyes. | 我 兒 、 要 謹 守 真 智 慧 和 謀 略 ． 不 可 使 他 離 開 你 的 眼 目 ． |
| So they will be life for your soul, and grace for your neck. | 這 樣 、 他 必 作 你 的 生 命 、 頸 項 的 美 飾 。 |
| Then you will go safely on your way, and your feet will have no cause for slipping. | 你 就 坦 然 行 路 、 不 至 碰 腳 。 |
| When you take your rest you will have no fear, and on your bed sleep will be sweet to you. | 你 躺 下 、 必 不 懼 怕 ． 你 躺 臥 、 睡 得 香 甜 。 |
| Have no fear of sudden danger, or of the storm which will come on evil-doers: | 忽 然 來 的 驚 恐 、 不 要 害 怕 ． 惡 人 遭 毀 滅 、 也 不 要 恐 懼 ． |
| For the Lord will be your hope, and will keep your foot from being taken in the net. | 因 為 耶 和 華 是 你 所 倚 靠 的 ． 他 必 保 守 你 的 腳 不 陷 入 網 羅 。 |
| Do not keep back good from those who have a right to it, when it is in the power of your hand to do it. | 你 手 若 有 行 善 的 力 量 、 不 可 推 辭 、 就 當 向 那 應 得 的 人 施 行 。 |
| Say not to your neighbour, Go, and come again, and tomorrow I will give; when you have it by you at the time. | 你 那 裡 若 有 現 成 的 、 不 可 對 鄰 舍 說 、 去 罷 、 明 天 再 來 、 我 必 給 你 。 |
| Do not make evil designs against your neighbour, when he is living with you without fear. | 你 的 鄰 舍 、 既 在 你 附 近 安 居 、 你 不 可 設 計 害 他 。 |
| Do not take up a cause at law against a man for nothing, if he has done you no wrong. | 人 未 曾 加 害 與 你 、 不 可 無 故 與 他 相 爭 。 |
| Have no envy of the violent man, or take any of his ways as an example. | 不 可 嫉 妒 強 暴 的 人 、 也 不 可 選 擇 他 所 行 的 路 。 |
| For the wrong-hearted man is hated by the Lord, but he is a friend to the upright. | 因 為 乖 僻 人 為 耶 和 華 所 憎 惡 ． 正 直 人 為 他 所 親 密 。 |
| The curse of the Lord is on the house of the evil-doer, but his blessing is on the tent of the upright. | 耶 和 華 咒 詛 惡 人 的 家 庭 、 賜 福 與 義 人 的 居 所 。 |
| He makes sport of the men of pride, but he gives grace to the gentle-hearted. | 他 譏 誚 那 好 譏 誚 的 人 、 賜 恩 給 謙 卑 的 人 。 |
| The wise will have glory for their heritage, but shame will be the reward of the foolish. | 智 慧 人 必 承 受 尊 榮 ． 愚 昧 人 高 陞 也 成 為 羞 辱 。 |
