Psalmen 83:1 Gott, schweige doch nicht also und sei doch nicht so still; Gott, halt doch nicht so inne!	Psalms 83:1 A Song. A Psalm. Of Asaph.O God, do not keep quiet: let your lips be open and take no rest, O God.
Psalmen 83:2 Denn siehe, deine Feinde toben, und die dich hassen, richten den Kopf auf.	Psalms 83:2 For see! those who make war on you are out of control; your haters are lifting up their heads.
Psalmen 83:3 Sie machen listige Anschläge gegen dein Volk und ratschlagen wider deine Verborgenen.	Psalms 83:3 They have made wise designs against your people, talking together against those whom you keep in a secret place.
Psalmen 83:4 "Wohl her!" sprechen sie; "laßt uns sie ausrotten, daß sie kein Volk seien, daß des Namens Israel nicht mehr gedacht werde!"	Psalms 83:4 They have said, Come, let us put an end to them as a nation; so that the name of Israel may go out of man's memory.
Psalmen 83:5 Denn sie haben sich miteinander vereinigt und einen Bund wider dich gemacht,	Psalms 83:5 For they have all come to an agreement; they are all joined together against you:
Psalmen 83:6 die Hütten der Edomiter und Ismaeliter, der Moabiter und Hagariter,	Psalms 83:6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab and the Hagarites;
Psalmen 83:7 der Gebaliter, Ammoniter und Amalekiter, die Philister samt denen zu Tyrus;	Psalms 83:7 Gebal and Ammon and Amalek; the Philistines and the people of Tyre;
Psalmen 83:8 Assur hat sich auch zu ihnen geschlagen; sie helfen den Kindern Lot.	Psalms 83:8 Assur is joined with them; they have become the support of the children of Lot. (Selah.)
Psalmen 83:9 Tue ihnen, wie den Midianitern, wie Sisera, wie Jabin am Bach Kison,	Psalms 83:9 Do to them what you did to the Midianites; what you did to Sisera and Jabin, at the stream of Kishon:
Psalmen 83:10 die vertilgt wurden bei Endor und wurden zu Kot auf der Erde.	Psalms 83:10 Who came to destruction at En-dor; their bodies became dust and waste.
Psalmen 83:11 Mache ihre Fürsten wie Oreb und Seeb, alle ihre Obersten wie Sebah und Zalmuna,	Psalms 83:11 Make their chiefs like Oreb and Zeeb; and all their rulers like Zebah and Zalmunna:
Psalmen 83:12 die da sagen: Wir wollen Häuser Gottes einnehmen.	Psalms 83:12 Who have said, Let us take for our heritage the resting-place of God.
Psalmen 83:13 Gott, mache sie wie einen Wirbel, wie Stoppeln vor dem Winde.	Psalms 83:13 O my God, make them like the rolling dust; like dry stems before the wind.
Psalmen 83:14 Wie ein Feuer den Wald verbrennt und wie eine Flamme die Berge anzündet:	Psalms 83:14 As fire burning a wood, and as a flame causing fire on the mountains,
Psalmen 83:15 also verfolge sie mit deinem Wetter und erschrecke sie mit deinem Ungewitter.	Psalms 83:15 So go after them with your strong wind, and let them be full of fear because of your storm.
Psalmen 83:16 Mache ihr Angesicht voll Schande, daß sie nach deinem Namen fragen müssen, o HERR.	Psalms 83:16 Let their faces be full of shame; so that they may give honour to your name, O Lord.
Psalmen 83:17 Schämen müssen sie sich und erschrecken auf immer und zu Schanden werden und umkommen;	Psalms 83:17 Let them be overcome and troubled for ever; let them be put to shame and come to destruction;
Psalmen 83:18 so werden sie erkennen, daß du mit deinem Namen heißest HERR allein und der Höchste in aller Welt.	Psalms 83:18 So that men may see that you only, whose name is Yahweh, are Most High over all the earth.
