Psalmen 44:1 Gott, wir haben's mit unsern Ohren gehört, unsre Väter haben's uns erzählt, was du getan hast zu ihren Zeiten vor alters.	Psalms 44:1 To the chief music-maker. Of the sons of Korah Maschil.It has come to our ears, O God, our fathers have given us the story, of the works which you did in their days, in the old times,
Psalmen 44:2 Du hast mit deiner Hand die Heiden vertrieben, aber sie hast du eingesetzt; du hast die Völker verderbt, aber sie hast du ausgebreitet.	Psalms 44:2 Uprooting the nations with your hand, and planting our fathers in their place; cutting down the nations, but increasing the growth of your people.
Psalmen 44:3 Denn sie haben das Land nicht eingenommen durch ihr Schwert, und ihr Arm half ihnen nicht, sondern deine Rechte, dein Arm und das Licht deines Angesichts; denn du hattest Wohlgefallen an ihnen.	Psalms 44:3 For they did not make the land theirs by their swords, and it was not their arms which kept them safe; but your right hand, and your arm, and the light of your face, because you had pleasure in them.
Psalmen 44:4 Du, Gott, bist mein König, der du Jakob Hilfe verheißest.	Psalms 44:4 You are my King and my God; ordering salvation for Jacob.
Psalmen 44:5 Durch dich wollen wir unsre Feinde zerstoßen; in deinem Namen wollen wir untertreten, die sich wider uns setzen.	Psalms 44:5 Through you will we overcome our haters; by your name will they be crushed under our feet who are violent against us.
Psalmen 44:6 Denn ich verlasse mich nicht auf meinen Bogen, und mein Schwert kann mir nicht helfen;	Psalms 44:6 I will not put faith in my bow, my sword will not be my salvation.
Psalmen 44:7 sondern du hilfst uns von unsern Feinden und machst zu Schanden, die uns hassen.	Psalms 44:7 But it is you who have been our saviour from those who were against us, and have put to shame those who had hate for us.
Psalmen 44:8 Wir wollen täglich rühmen von Gott und deinem Namen danken ewiglich.	Psalms 44:8 Our pride is in God at all times, to his name we give praise for ever. (Selah.)
Psalmen 44:9 Warum verstößest du uns denn nun und lässest uns zu Schanden werden und ziehst nicht aus unter unserm Heer?	Psalms 44:9 But now you have sent us away from you, and put us to shame; you do not go out with our armies.
Psalmen 44:10 Du lässest uns fliehen vor unserm Feind, daß uns berauben, die uns hassen.	Psalms 44:10 Because of this we are turned back by the attacker: those who have hate for us take our goods for themselves.
Psalmen 44:11 Du lässest uns auffressen wie Schafe und zerstreuest uns unter die Heiden.	Psalms 44:11 You have made us like sheep which are taken for meat; we are put to flight among the nations.
Psalmen 44:12 Du verkaufst dein Volk umsonst und nimmst nichts dafür.	Psalms 44:12 You let your people go for nothing; your wealth is not increased by their price.
Psalmen 44:13 Du machst uns zur Schmach unsern Nachbarn, zum Spott und Hohn denen, die um uns her sind.	Psalms 44:13 You have made us to be looked down on by our neighbours, we are laughed at and shamed by those who are round about us.
Psalmen 44:14 Du machst uns zum Beispiel unter den Heiden und daß die Völker das Haupt über uns schütteln.	Psalms 44:14 Our name is a word of shame among the nations, a sign for the shaking of heads among the peoples.
Psalmen 44:15 Täglich ist meine Schmach vor mir, und mein Antlitz ist voller Scham,	Psalms 44:15 My downfall is ever before me, and I am covered with the shame of my face;
Psalmen 44:16 daß ich die Schänder und Lästerer hören und die Feinde und Rachgierigen sehen muß.	Psalms 44:16 Because of the voice of him who says sharp and bitter words; because of the hater and him who is the instrument of punishment.
Psalmen 44:17 Dies alles ist über uns gekommen; und wir haben doch dein nicht vergessen noch untreu in deinem Bund gehandelt.	Psalms 44:17 All this has come on us, but still we have kept you in our memory; and we have not been false to your word.
Psalmen 44:18 Unser Herz ist nicht abgefallen noch unser Gang gewichen von deinem Weg,	Psalms 44:18 Our hearts have not gone back, and our steps have not been turned out of your way;
Psalmen 44:19 daß du uns so zerschlägst am Ort der Schakale und bedeckst uns mit Finsternis.	Psalms 44:19 Though you have let us be crushed in the place of jackals, though we are covered with darkest shade.
Psalmen 44:20 Wenn wir des Namens unsers Gottes vergessen hätten und unsre Hände aufgehoben zum fremden Gott,	Psalms 44:20 If the name of our God has gone out of our minds, or if our hands have been stretched out to a strange god,
Psalmen 44:21 würde das Gott nicht finden? Er kennt ja unsers Herzens Grund.	Psalms 44:21 Will not God make search for it? for he sees the secrets of the heart.
Psalmen 44:22 Denn wir werden ja um deinetwillen täglich erwürgt und sind geachtet wie Schlachtschafe.	Psalms 44:22 Truly, because of you we are put to death every day; we are numbered like sheep for destruction.
Psalmen 44:23 Erwecke dich, HERR! Warum schläfst Du? Wache auf und verstoße uns nicht so gar!	Psalms 44:23 Why are you sleeping, O Lord? awake! and come to our help, do not give us up for ever.
Psalmen 44:24 Warum verbirgst du dein Antlitz, vergissest unsers Elends und unsrer Drangsal?	Psalms 44:24 Why is your face covered, and why do you give no thought to our trouble and our cruel fate?
Psalmen 44:25 Denn unsre Seele ist gebeugt zur Erde; unser Leib klebt am Erdboden.	Psalms 44:25 For our souls are crushed down to the dust: our bodies are stretched out on the earth.
Psalmen 44:26 Mache dich auf, hilf uns und erlöse uns um deiner Güte willen!	Psalms 44:26 Up! and come to our help, and give us salvation because of your mercy.
