Psalms 39:1 For the Chief Musician, Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. I said, I will take heed to my ways, That I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, While the wicked is before me.	Salmi 39:1 Per il Capo de’ musici. Per Jeduthun. Salmo di Davide. Io dicevo: Farò attenzione alle mie vie per non peccare con la mia lingua; metterò un freno alla mia bocca, finché l’empio mi starà davanti.
Psalms 39:2 I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; And my sorrow was stirred.	Salmi 39:2 Io sono stato muto, in silenzio, mi son taciuto senz’averne bene; anzi il mio dolore s’è inasprito.
Psalms 39:3 My heart was hot within me; While I was musing the fire burned: [Then] spake I with my tongue:	Salmi 39:3 Il mio cuore si riscaldava dentro di me; mentre meditavo, un fuoco s’è acceso; allora la mia lingua ha parlato.
Psalms 39:4 Jehovah, make me to know mine end, And the measure of my days, what it is; Let me know how frail I am.	Salmi 39:4 O Eterno, fammi conoscere la mia fine e qual è la misura de’ miei giorni. Fa’ ch’io sappia quanto son frale.
Psalms 39:5 Behold, thou hast made my days [as] handbreadths; And my life-time is as nothing before thee: Surely every man at his best estate is altogether vanity. Selah	Salmi 39:5 Ecco, tu hai ridotto i miei giorni alla lunghezza di qualche palmo, e la mia durata è come nulla dinanzi a te; certo, ogni uomo, benché saldo in piè, non è che vanità. Sela.
Psalms 39:6 Surely every man walketh in a vain show; Surely they are disquieted in vain: He heapeth up [riches], and knoweth not who shall gather them.	Salmi 39:6 Certo, l’uomo va e viene come un’ombra; certo, s’affanna per quel ch’è vanità: egli ammassa, senza sapere chi raccoglierà.
Psalms 39:7 And now, Lord, what wait I for? My hope is in thee.	Salmi 39:7 E ora, o Signore, che aspetto? La mia speranza è in te.
Psalms 39:8 Deliver me from all my transgressions: Make me not the reproach of the foolish.	Salmi 39:8 Liberami da tutte le mie trasgressioni; non far di me il vituperio dello stolto.
Psalms 39:9 I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; Because thou didst it.	Salmi 39:9 Io me ne sto muto, non aprirò bocca, perché sei tu che hai agito.
Psalms 39:10 Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thy hand.	Salmi 39:10 Toglimi d’addosso il tuo flagello! Io mi consumo sotto i colpi della tua mano.
Psalms 39:11 When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, Thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: Surely every man is vanity. Selah	Salmi 39:11 Quando castigando l’iniquità tu correggi l’uomo, tu distruggi come la tignuola quel che ha di più caro; certo, ogni uomo non è che vanità. Sela.
Psalms 39:12 Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, and give ear unto my cry; Hold not thy peace at my tears: For I am a stranger with thee, A sojourner, as all my fathers were.	Salmi 39:12 O Eterno, ascolta la mia preghiera, e porgi l’orecchio al mio grido; non esser sordo alle mie lacrime; poiché io sono uno straniero presso a te, un pellegrino, come tutti i miei padri.
Psalms 39:13 Oh spare me, that I may recover strength, Before I go hence, and be no more.	Salmi 39:13 Distogli da me il tuo sguardo ond’io mi rianimi, prima che me ne vada, e non sia più.
