Matthew 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham unto David are fourteen generations; and from David unto the carrying away to Babylon fourteen generations; and from the carrying away to Babylon unto the Christ fourteen generations. Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 1:20 But when he thought on these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name JESUS; for it is he that shall save his people from their sins.	Matteo 1:21 Ed ella partorirà un figliuolo, e tu gli porrai nome Gesù, perché è lui che salverà il suo popolo dai loro peccati.
Matthew 1:22 Now all this is come to pass, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,	Matteo 1:22 Or tutto ciò avvenne, affinché si adempiesse quello che era stato detto dal Signore per mezzo del profeta:
Matthew 1:23 Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Immanuel; which is, being interpreted, God with us.	Matteo 1:23 Ecco, la vergine sarà incinta e partorirà un figliuolo, al quale sarà posto nome Emmanuele, che, interpretato, vuol dire: "Iddio con noi".
Matthew 1:24 And Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took unto him his wife;	Matteo 1:24 E Giuseppe, destatosi dal sonno, fece come l’angelo del Signore gli avea comandato, e prese con sé sua moglie;
Matthew 1:25 and knew her not till she had brought forth a son: and he called his name JESUS.	Matteo 1:25 e non la conobbe finch’ella non ebbe partorito un figlio; e gli pose nome Gesù.
